Riann watched the conversation silently, looking down at the crushed up roots in Breezes vials. Where did I learn about this? The Herbalist's Gui- no. A 101- not even close. . . Plants and their Many Uses; by Layla Cardoso. That's the book. She thought, racking her mind for what the roots must have been used for. Sleeping powders maybe.
( If anyone wants to join my other rp, The Marked Twins, it's open. All of you are amazing writers and it'd be awesome if you joined. If you can't, that's fine. )
(Lol. Riann thinks hemlock, nightshade, belladonna, and snakeroots are used for sleeping powders. Yeah sleep as in death.)

( haha, yeah she can't really remember the book. She has a good memory, but usually for things she's interested in )
Part of Cade wanted to go outside and check to see if the storm was over, but he wasn't that stupid. I'll just wait for someone to tell me it's clear.
(Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!)
Riann turned around, listening for the sound of winds. They had already been in here for thirty minutes. "It should be over by now. . ." She mumbled.
"Well I'm not going out first."
"I didn't think you would." Riann said, walking towards the door. She opened it slowly, the bright light momentarily blinding her. As she pushed it wider, she looked around, pieces of sand still moving around on the ground. But the whole sector was gone. Everything was buried under sand.
"This has never happened before," Breeze stood there mouth agape.
"It's happened before, it just hasn't been as big of a deal." Cade pointed out, following Riann to the door.
Alyssa walked over and looked out. She took in a sharp breath. "What if someone got buried…" She asked aloud, her voice laced with concern.
"Nothing like this has ever happened. . " Riann said, stepping out.
"That's not our problem." Cade mumbled, knowing that the others would think he was insensitive.
(Cade is such a jerk but he's my jerk so I have to love him)
"Well it's mine," Breeze walked out and began searching for any signs of life.
"That's not our problem." Cade mumbled, knowing that the others would think he was insensitive.
Riann shot him a look and started walking down one of the streets, her hands skimming across the layers of sand. It was a deep orange. Dust Land orange.
For once, Cade regretted going bare foot. The warm sand burned his feet, but he ignored it.
Felix nodded and stepped away, brushing off his guard uniform. Top rank, as the black overcoat stated. There was a time when he was proud of that.
"Dust Lands." Riann muttered, looking towards the distance. Her parents had always told her stories about it. The Lost Cities were there, where 'terrible' people lived.
"Dust lands?" Felix asked, walking up to stand next to her.
Breeze could feel it in the air, "This wasn't natural. There's magic in the air."
"Dust lands…" Cade repeated. The name rang a bell, but he wasn't sure where he'd heard it before.
