Ayce kept breathing, shaking and quivering. He sniffled softly. "S-sorry…" He whispered.
Ayce kept breathing, shaking and quivering. He sniffled softly. "S-sorry…" He whispered.
"You're just fine love. Take all the time you need." Nolan glanced down at him. He worried what would happen when they did get to base.
Ayce cuddled close to him, closing his eyes. He was still taking deep breaths like Nolan had told him to, the shaking subsiding a little.
"That's it love. Just like that." Nolan tightened his grip on Ayce, holding him close. "I got you. I'm not letting you go. I promise."
Ayce bit his lip a little, and nodded. "Okay." He whispered quietly, snuggling close to him.
After a few moments, Nolan spoke. "Are you ready to go to the market or do you need some more time?"
Ayce shrugged a little, still clinging to him. "I-I don't know…" He whispered, biting his lip a little.
Nolan kissed his cheek. "Lets take a few minutes to ourselves." He shufted Ayce so that he straddles nolan
Ayce looked up at him. "Okay." He said softly, voice still a little shaky. He swallowed, sighing softly.
Nolan laid back on the bed. He slipped his hands up Ayce's shirt.
Ayce looked down at him, eyes flickering a little. He shivered at the feeling of Nolan's hands, his own hands still clutched tightly on Nolan's shirt.
Nolan's thumb caressed the bare skin on his back. His eyes fluttered shut in the moment, relaxing peacefully
Ayce made a soft sound, hands slowly unclenching to lay flat against Nolan's chest. He took a deep breath, looking down at Nolan.
"That's it darling. Relax." Nolan murmured. He never wanted to move from this position. He felt overwhelmed with joy
Ayce took a deep breath, exhaling. He swallowed, and lay down, head resting against Nolan's shoulder, his legs still where they had been. He moved one arm so that Nolan was pulled close in a hug.
Nolan smiled as he returned the hug. "Do you want me to tell you a story?"
Ayce blinked, looking at him, then nodded slowly. "Okay." He replied, blue eyes clear now, less confused then they had been earlier.
Nolan looked down at him with a smile. "Once there was a lost Prince," he began. "Time had passed and he no longer remember how long it had been since he jad gotten lost. He stumbled around hopelessly and miserable."
Ayce listened quietly, arm still around Nolan's middle. He watched Nolan's face as he spoke, quiet and a lot calmer than he had been only minutes ago.
Nolan ran a hand through Ayce's hair. It was so much easier now that it had been cut and washed. "But one day he was found. A strong warrior had seen him and taken him in. It took a long time to nurse the prince back to health. A lot of patience and trust. And over that time to two of them feel in love. But tge lrince was torn between duty and his heart."
Ayce blinked, eyes flickering slightly as he snuggled close to Nolan. He took a deep breath, eyes drifting shut a little as he watched Nolan through half-open eyes.
Nolan looked down at the far in his arms. He bumped his nose on Ayce's temple. "Should he follow his heart or his head? He decided to go back to his home, but brought the warrior with him, under pretenses other than his lover. It started out fine, the sneaking around, but then the warrior came to resent it. He wanted to love his prince openly. And he sakd as much to him. He said that he would only be his lover or he would leave. The prince didn't know what to do. He loved his warrior but he didn't want to be shunned. The warrior took the silence as an answer amd began to pack his belongings. Right before the warrior got on his horse the prince came running to him. He dragged him in for a long kiss. 'Ive decided.' He said. 'I want to be with you. Always.' The two went back to palace amd he introduced tge warrior as his lover. The kingdom shunned them and they retreated to a cost cabin in a small outskirts town. There they lived happily until the end of their days."
Ayce opened his eyes fully again, looking at Nolan. He gave a small smile, and hesitantly kissed his cheek softly. "That was a nice story." he said softly. "Reminds me of the stories I used to tell my niece." he shrugged slightly. "She always loved stories like that. With happy endings and true love winning every time…even if it wasn't always realistic." he looked away for a moment, then back at Nolan. Those few sentences were probably more than he had chosen to speak in a while, not counting the upset rambling he had done earlier.
Nolan beamed at the small kiss. He just listened as Ayce spoke. He seemed much more intuned with reality than earlier. He felt overjoyed with how much he was speaking to Nolan. "Not everyone night have a happy ending but I'll make sure you do."
Ayce nodded, then shrugged slightly, eyes sliding away again. "I-I…" Don't deserve it I don't deserve it…save your happy ending for someone else… he bit his lip, still holding tightly to Nolan.
