Nolan wrapped his arms around him. He tucked Ayce's head under his chin
Ayce closed his eyes, holding onto him. "Thank you…" He whispered softly.
"Of course darling." Nolan kissed his nose again.
Ayce gave a small smile, cuddling close to him again.
Nolan held him close. "I've got you darling."
Ayce nodded a little. "Can you tell me a story again? Please?" He asked, glancing up at Nolan.
"What kind of story do you want this time?" Nolan asked, a wide grin on his face
Ayce shrugged slightly. "I don't know…a good one." He closed his eyes, leaning his head on Nolan's shoulder.
"Alright." Nolan said. "Let me think of something."
Ayce listened quietly, listening to Nolan's heartbeat as he waited. He felt…relaxed for one. At peace. Happy, even. For the first time in…he didn't even know how long.
Nolan smiled. He stroked his side softly. "Once upon a time there was a lonely farmer. He worked all day and night, with no one but himself. The days were hard and uneventful. Then one day, a mysterious wounded stranger showed up at his door. He took him and took care of him." He started
Ayce listened, blue eyes calm as he looked up at Nolan and listened to the story.
"The wounded man would help the farmer with his chores as he recovered. The two of them began to slowly fall in love with each other. Then one day, palace gaurds cane knocking on their door. They were looking for them prince. The farmer assured them that there was no prince there but they were welcome to look around. It turns out the wounded man had actually been the prince. But the prince refused to go with them unless the love of his life came with him. They were hesitant but agreed. The farmer and the prince left to the palace together. And there they lived happily ever after."
Ayce gave a tiny smile. "It sounds like the last one you told me." He said softly, looking at him. "With a wounded prince and another guy."
"Yeah it does. Except this time his family excepted them. I can tell you a different one if you don't like it." Nolan kissed his temple
Ayce shook his head, snuggling close to him. "Nope. It's okay." He said softly, closing his eyes.
Nolan smiled down at him. He tucked hik closer to his body. "Tired darling?"
Ayce shrugged a little bit, keeping his eyes closed. "I don't know." He said quietly.
Nolan nodded his head. He stroked his hair softly. He nuzzled his face into his hair
Ayce held onto him, one arm thrown across Nolan's middle. He leaned into Nolan happily.
Nolan smiled down at him. He started to massage his head slowly.
Ayce gave a tiny smile, humming contentedly. He felt calm. Really, actually calm.
"Like that darling?" Nolan mused, continuing to do it
Ayce nodded. "Mhm." He agreed softly, nuzzling Nolan's neck a little.
Nolan smiled, massaging his head more. He used his nails to scratch his scalp soothingly
