"Yeah," she agreed quickly, standing and offering him her arm.

Jay took her arm and stood up slowly.

¨Vanessa purred ¨Shut up¨,

(Okay so I haven't been able to do a whole lot, so I'm going to drop out. If anyone wants to RP my characters, feel free)

Jay took her arm and stood up slowly.

"You good?" she asked, studying his movements.

"Yeah, my chest hurts a bit." He replied.

"That typically happens when someone punches you in the stomach," she said slyly.

"Yeah, I bet it does." He said then stepped back a bit.

"Are you sure you're okay?" she asked, looking at the way he was standing.

"Yeah, like I said my chest hurts a bit. Stop worrying."

She nodded and went back over to Maria's bedside.

Jay sat back down and looked at the ceiling.

"Mom?" Kate asked quietly.

Jay looked over at her.

Suddenly, Kate's phone buzzed with a phone call. She jumped anxiously, then looked over at the screen.

"Something wrong?" he asked.

"No, it just startled me, that's all," she murmured, reading the name. Her face lit up and she answered it. "Hello?"

Jay looked, sorta wondering who they were.

"Matt, listen, I–… You did?… It was?!… Are you– No, you finish… Oh… Okay… See you soon then." She hung up and looked at Jay. "One of my friends is coming."

"I should go then…." Jay said and got up.

"No." She blocked him. "Please, stay…"

"Fine…" He said hesitantly then sat back down.

She looked away. Stupid. "I mean, you can go if you want…"

"No I will stay." He said and looked at her.
