Tyler smiled, pulling out a packet of Life Savers. 'Yeah, I guess you could call me that.' He winked at Yeon.
Tyler smiled, pulling out a packet of Life Savers. 'Yeah, I guess you could call me that.' He winked at Yeon.
Yeon burst into loud, wild laughter. “Jesus Christ, you’ve got to be kidding me!” He exclaimed through his laughs.
Tyler laughed as well, tearing open his Life Savers and offering some to Yeon. 'Want some?'
Yeon hummed in response and plucked one from the package, popping it into his mouth. “God, I can’t remeber the last time I’ve had one of these. It’s been years,” he said.
'They're really expensive in Britain,' complained Tyler. 'Cus they're American sweets. It's, like, four pounds for a small tub of them.'
“Do American foods really go for high amounts in Britain? Damn, I thought they were already expensive here,” Yeon responded with a furrowed brow.
'Yeah, I saw Lucky Charms for twelve quid once!' exclaimed Tyler, laughing a bit at the ridiculousness. 'Feckin' mad.'
“Damn, sounds like it!” Yeon responded, leaning back against his elbows in the grass.
“Hey, sunshine! We’re going to go!” Milo shouted over to Yeon.
“Yeah, yeah, bastardo! I’ll talk to you all later!” He shouted back, as they headed towards the truck they arrived in.
'What now?' asked Tyler, wondering what they should do.
Yeon shrugged his shoulders loosely, looking back at Tyler now. “We could go visit your friends, ask if I can join that little band of yours.”
Tyler checked his phone and saw a message from Alex. 'Shit. Jay's ill, and Alex is looking after him. I don't think that's the best idea,' explained Tyler, slipping his phone back into his pocket.
Yeon exhaled sharply and nodded slowly. “Well, you wouldn’t find it nice back at my place, so we could just walk around or something, I don’t know,” He said, rubbing at his jaw.
(shit i got nothing to do)
'We could always go to my place,' suggested Tyler. 'But why wouldn't I find your place nice?'
(Same here)
Yeon gestured to the nearby buildings as he spoke. “It’s not exactly the most nice place. This is the slum area, man, everything is pretty shitty.”
'I guess we'll go to mine then.' Tyler began to stand up. 'I make good pizza.'
“Yeah? We’ll see about that, my parents used to make some great pizza too,” Yeon joked, pushing to his feet.
Tyler started heading over to his motorbike. 'My dad taught me how to make pizza. He's a legend when it comes to food.'
Yeon walked along with him, hands stuffed into his pockets. “Is he a chef or something?” He asked, a brow arched in question.
'No,' replied Tyler, shaking his head. 'He's just great at cooking. I always used to tell him that he should open a restaurant, and he was going to, but he… he got ill. It's not looking great for him…'
Yeon frowned slightly when the mood seemed to grow downcast. “Oh hell, I’m sorry about that, Tyler.”
Tyler tried not to cry - he didn't want to show his emotions too much. 'It's fine. We've been expecting it for a while,' he explained, running a hand through his hair. 'Anyway, my dad told me not to be sad about it, so we ain't gonna be sad about it.'
He hopped onto the motorbike. 'Ready to go?'
Yeon gave a tense frown but nodded anyways, knowing it wasn’t his place to keep pressing on the matter. He walked over to the bike, swinging his leg up and over to get onto it. “Yeah, let’s go,” he confirmed, having a grin now.
Tyler began to whizz off, making his way to his house. 'I just remembered - there's a pride parade tomorrow, you might have heard about it. Want to come with me?'
“Really? Never been to one of those before..” Yeon said slowly, leaning his weight against Tyler. “Sure, if it’ll be fun, then I’ll show.”
'Yeah, it's gonna be super fun,' he said, making a sharp turn around a corner. 'There's gonna be a march, and loads of stalls, and food, and there's a party at Spectrum afterwards.'
