The tree just keeps playing with Duke, not noticing the ax at all.

Axolotl takes a Giant swing hitting the tree and making a 3 inch gash in the tree “ PUT MY FRIEND DOWN!!!”

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" The tree almost drops Duke, but carefully puts him down. "My- my trunk. Wh- why would you do that…?" It coughs…

“I told you to put him down?” Axolotl gives an angry look at the tree and takes the ax out

"Sorry… I- I-" It starts to sob as sap starts to leak from its "wound." "I just haven't had so much fun in so long… and I've been through so much…" The tree tries to cover the gash with its branch.

“So your fun is kidnapping people? Hello what part of that is not creepy?” Axolotl leans on the ax with a confused face

"Kidnapping?! Of course not! I never wanted to keep him. Besides, anything besides just standing here and being abused by the rest of nature is fun for me… except hurting anyone on purpose." It still covered the gash, sap still pouring out of it.

“Hold on let me give you a few drops of this” Axolotl pulls out a potion bottle and drops it on the gash and it closed up

"Wha- what is that? You won't hurt me again will you?"

“No no look the gash is gone”

"Uh- what? I-" It uncovers its now-healed gash, "Oh my- Thank you, thank you so much…" The tree starts to cry happy tears before it becomes dormant again.

“No problem now put my friend down.” Axolotl points her finger to the ground and looks stern

duke just stared at the two. As far as he could tell axolotl just yelled a tree into submission, I mean, duke has done weirder but it was still odd. Although he did feel bad for the tree for getting slashed, and he was a bit annoyed about still not being able to fly. “sooo, you just yelled me out of a childish tree?” he said turning to axolotl.

“It’s sitting right there Duke we haven’t gone anywhere.” Axolotl starts down the path again pauses looks at the map then takes a left
