Nathan glanced at Gabriella as she left, recognization sparking. A small smile stayed on his face as he turned expectantly back to Rae. They were alone now. Well, not really alone, as there were other kids in the hallway, but Nathan’s chest didn’t seem to get the memo. Awesome.
He blushed, thinking how people didn’t seem to get his hobbies most of the time, even if they were supposedly cool when more popular guys did it. “I play guitar and make music, you know, that kind of thing mostly. You?”
"Really!?" Rae was too excited about him playing music that she didn't even process his question. "Would you be willing to play me something sometime?" Her eyes sparkled as she looked up at him, as if she were begging him. She loved guys that could sing. Hugging her books closer to her chest, she tried to calm her heart a bit.
Nathan’s blush deepened. The only person who heard him sing was his mom and occasionally his best friend. “I don’t know…” he hedged, his heart racing. Playing in front of anyone made him nervous, especially cute girls. He glanced down at the books he was holding for her.
"Oh.." Rae also looked down a bit disappointed, but quickly turned it around. "No worries, I mean we just met, so of course I don't expect you too. Ah, I'm sure this is my class." She grabbed her books from him and waved. "Bye, I'll see you later, right?" She really wanted to see him again.
She waved back, entering the school and heading towards the office to try and find the aurora girl. You know, Disney princess? She looked so pretty she ought to be animated.
Gabriella walked along the tiles in the brightly lit atrium leading to the front desk/nurses' office, her heels clicking on the ground. Her mom had forced her to dress nicely for the occasion of the first day of school even if she had been going to the same school her entire high school career. She dawned a white, cropped blouse, black, cropped jeggings and nude high heels that were comfy to walk in but a bit showy for school. Her eyes caught the warmth of the rising sun from the glass ceiling of the atrium and glowed almost magically as she opened the door to the office, greeting the secretaries at the front desk.
"Have you admitted a beautiful blond girl into the infirmary approximately 5 minutes ago?" she asked, describing her due to her not knowing her name.
“Yeah, definitely, of course,” he agreed quickly, his face still burning. “Wanna meet at the bench we were at earlier after school? I mean, if you want to.” He almost forgot about the books he was holding for her. “Oh, and here’s your books back.”
Ember looked up from the bed, she was sitting in it, but she was looking down at all of the bandaged on her arm.
"Its honey gold"
She says, a sweeter voice than earlier coming out.
"oh hello dear! Are you talking about Ember?"
The little old lady walked up to here smiling.
"I do suppose I am" she grinned, glancing over at Ember before returning her attention to the infirmary lady. "Are visitors allowed currently?" she asked, smiling sweetly at the woman, glancing over at Ember again.
"Sure, I'll see you there." She turned back around, her black curly hair bouncing behind her. That was embarrassing. Of course he wouldn't want me to hear him sing. I'm so stupid. She silently walked into the class and was introduced by the teacher. She moved to a chair by the window. Rae loved the sunlight on her face, and being able to look out it.
Nathan walked to his class, thinking about Rae the whole way. He was never going to be able to concentrate now. He hoped he hadn’t been too obvious. Of course he had.
Looking up at the pretty girl, freezing in shock.
"I'm on my death and I dont want your face to be the last one I see…. so no, we're not open for visitors now."
Ember says laying on the bed, her hand on her forehead dramatically.
"Ember! We talked about this!"
The nurse said to Ember in a scolding voice.
"but Molly Lee did you see her?!"
She sat up quickly, wide-eyed at Molly (the nurse)
"I told you to call me miss when other people are around!"
Molly said to her,
"Miss Molly Lee!"
Ember sniped to Molly
"Do you not see her?"
The nurse pointed to her.
They were obviously close, for each other to be bickering like this. Ember runs her hand through her curly crazy hair.
Gabriella was sure she'd done nothing wrong but accepted the fact that the girl probably didn't want visitors at the moment so she stepped out, saying goodbye to the ladies at the front and a gentle wish to Ember that she hoped she'd get better.
Molly looked over at Ember with a smug look,
"she was nice…."
Ember huffed and crossed her arms,
"but did you see her? She wasn't nice."
"she was pretty and nice…."
Molly looked at her, then started working with whatever tools were at her desk.
"pretty people can be nice to, although you're not a good example of that."
She muttered to herself, although Ember could hear her clearly.
"Even the devil can seem nice if you can catch them at the right moment."
Ember said lying back down.
She travelled upstairs, quickly heading to her locker and taking out and putting away a few things before class, including putting her hair up in a pony tail.
Alex hummed softly, thinking. "Not guitar. At least, not well. I know like…three chords, as of now. I play percussion in the marching band, though. And violin in the orchestra, though also not well. I only just started." He shrugged. "There's a few others I can play, too."
“Wow. I’ve forever-.. always wanted to learn an instrument,” Damien said. He tilted his head to rest it against his palm, elbow up against the table. He wondered if he was difficult to understand considering his heavy Spanish accent. “I’m impressed by that.”
(Also sorry about the awkward response times. I’m on vacation till Saturday so there won’t be a lot.)
Alex smiled. "You could always do band! Or one of the other music classes." He said. "Thanks." He shrugged slightly, fingers still tapping on the table, tapping out a drum rhythm.
(It's fine!)
(Heyyo, I'm back. I just read through the rp so far quickly, but could someone just sum up where everyone is and what they are doing atm? Idk where I'm gonna throw Luca in…)
Ember was sitting at a table, then people started coming (attractive people) so she up and left, then in a little garden outside in the back, she rested there, but some MORE attractive people came
So she fled, falling in a rose bush then she ran to the nurse's office, she's staying in there now talking to the nurse, Molly.
(kay. So… Rae is in a classroom, right? I could have Luca burst in there like an asshole, late for class?)
(Do it! That would be so funny.)
Luca slammed the door open. "I'm back, Motherf*ckers!!!" He walsed in, dropping his stuff at the nearest empty desk with a loud bang. Not even bothering to keep it quiet, he started talking to one of his friends, Ed. "Yo, Ed! What's up, man? I gotta tell you, vaccation with my family is sooooo frustrating!"
"Luca, would you mind?" The teacher gave him an annoyed look, but she was kinda used to his bad behavior.
He turned to her with a fake apologetic smile. "Of course, Ms. Smith. Keep teaching us your wonderful knowledge." He swinged his feet up onto the desk, crossing his arms in front of him.
Rae jumped at the sound of a slammed door. She pushed her round glasses up her nose. Who enters a classroom like that? In her back pocket her phone vibrated, and slowly she pulled it out. A new job? When the teacher was turned away she texted them back saying she would have to do it after school. Smiling to herself she put her phone back in her pocket. One step closer to her dream.
"Wait!" Luca dramatically jumped up from his seat, turning to a person in the room that he didn't recognize. "You're new. Who are you?" He pointed at Rae.
"Luca," Ms. Smith sighed, "You would have known that if you had been here in time. Like you should." She carefully pronounced the last sentence.
"Yeah, whatever. But who are you?"
(Quick question: What does 6/7 mean?)
Walking into the classroom, still a little jumbled in her mind, she looked around, running her hand through her curly honey dew hair, she sat at her usual seat. The one second to the far back by the window.
"Hello Ember!"
The teacher smiled at her while she ignored her.
