"Okay." Avery faced the boat and went to take a step forward, but her feet didn't move.

C'mon, you can't be afraid, now! It's just a boat, and Dylan made it himself. Nothing will go wrong with it.

Sure it won't. Just like nothing has gone wrong with this entire mission.

She shook her head, trying to clear it of the negative thoughts.

Noticing her apprehension, Dylan took Avery's hand and led her up the ramp. Thankfully, the ramp held underfoot. Very well, actually. He hadn't been sure of it until now, purely because of his light affliction. He smiled, "See? Nothing to it!"

Avery gave Dylan a weak smile, then blushed and looked down at her hand in his.

"I– Um– Thanks," she stuttered, her voice wobbling slightly.

Why do I have to be so awkward?!?

@Desvelarse pets

Vaughn stepped past, slowly shaking his head and muttering something about them just hooking up already. He walked over to the edge of the boat, leaning over the railing and looking down at the choppy waves.

Dylan let go and smiled, then went to grab their bags. After all was aboard, he found himself at the helm. Instead of taking the controls, though, he just placed his hand on them, thought for a moment, and the ship started moving. It continued after he moved his hand away. Sitting back in the shadowed chair, he closed his eyes and smiled.

"And we're off."

Avery paced the boat, trying to keep her slight seasickness down. Having never been on a boat before, she hadn't known that she would get seasick. She swayed along with the boat, managing to keep her footing by doing so.

(Naw, I was just curious…)

It was peaceful out on the water. Dylan hadn't been on a boat before now, but he was quite content with how quiet it was. He cracked one eye and noticed that night was still full. Avery and Vaughn were probably tired. Dylan himself felt sleep tug at his eyelids, but he knew how to keep himself awake. The others?

"Heya guys? If you need to, catch a nap below-deck.. I can keep us on course for a while."

@Imperfect_Autumn group

"Thanks, Dylan," Avery said, nodding to him as she picked up one of the bags.

She headed down to one of the cabins and set the bag down next to the bed. Letting out a heavy breath, she sat down and started to pull things out of the bag. Blankets to keep warm, extra blankets to use as a pillow, and pajamas to change into.

As soon as she was ready, she laid down on the bed and stared at the ceiling, rubbing her turbulent stomach. When her eyes finally closed, she fell into a blissfully deep sleep and didn't feel the sickness through it.

Vaughn gave Dylan a skeptical look before nodding and headed below deck and into one of the cabins. He set down his two duffel bags and changed clothes before sitting on the bed, hugging onto a pillow. He pulled a water bottle from his bag, and a bottle of pills, swallowing a few with water. His eyes grew heavy and a numb, fuzzy feeling filled his mind as he drifted off.

@Mr.Misfit

Dylan got up, went outside, and leaned over the bow. Already it was impossible to see the docks, or the lights of the city they left behind. Dylan thanked the stars.

Light was unnecessary, but normally not unwelcome. This was an exception.

Avery woke up to the sound of waves crashing against the side of the boat and a dizzying feeling of swaying. She quickly climbed out of bed and run up to the deck, not even bothering to change out of her oversized kitty pajamas. Leaning over the railing, she released whatever food was left in her stomach.

@Mr.Misfit

Dylans eyes shot up at the sound of hurling, and he quickly gathered himself. He had fallen asleep on the deck, with nothing but the sky above him. Thankfully, the ship hadn't vanished without his concentration, and everyone was ok.

Well… almost.

Avery was having a rough go of the journey, it seemed. She had gotten sea sick again, and had expelled whatever remained of last night's dinner out into the ocean. Dylan didn't move, instead, he simply waited nearby.

When she'd finished, Avery continued to lean over the railing, simply staring into the water.

Why do I have to be seasick? she questioned herself silently. I can't be very helpful if I'm constantly going to be throwing up or feeling like I'm going to be.

She stood back up straight and moved her hair out of her face, slipping it back behind her ears.

@Mr.Misfit

Dylan simply waited, giving her her own space. The best way he had found to keep people relaxed was not to pressure them into thinking they need help. Using his own sect of the bow, Dylan made a little baclony area extending out from the boat's edge, and sat.

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Avery looked around the boat and noticed Dylan sitting on a balcony that he must have made between last night and just now. She cringed, knowing that he must have heard and/or seen her while she was throwing up. Looking down at her outfit, Avery cringed again. Pretending not to have noticed Dylan, she made her way back below deck to wash up and change.

Vaughn sat up on the cot, feeling groggy from the sleep. That was probably the most sleep he had gotten in a while, and he wants used to it. He rubbed at his tired feeling eyes and got up, changing his clothes and cleaning himself up. He stepped out of his cabin and noticed Avery heading down the hall. She seemed sick, and he frowned slightly. He may not be the best at showing emotions to others, but he could sure as hell read people decently. “You okay?” He asked in a steady tone.
