Element grinned, and with a lift of her arms, she sent parts of the floor flying through the ceiling, creating huge holes. "Flying."
Element grinned, and with a lift of her arms, she sent parts of the floor flying through the ceiling, creating huge holes. "Flying."
“That is insane,” Vaughn muttered to himself, running a hand over his face, ignoring the ache when he goes over the injury on his jaw.
"Its our only option." she said with a shrug. Then, she grabbed his arm and then Avery's, jumping up towards the ceiling. Bullets were flying at them, but they missed, and suddenly they were out on the roof. She dropped them on their feet, and landed herself. "Run!" she cried.
Vaughn ran at a steady pace with them. “Are we planning on jumping off the roof or something?!”
"No." Lenny breathed. As they neared the edge of the roof, Element threw her arms upward, and a gigantic wave formed down below. She jumped into it, went through, and landed on her feet. She quickly dried her, and her companions off, and started running again.
Dylan took off at a run, having landed through the tidal wave completely dry. He held the man in a cage above his head, out of his way. He was still crying from the flash in his eyes, Dylan could hear him. He almost laughed, but the thought struck him; Why hadn't Vaughn or Avery cried the first time? Powers, perhaps.
Dylan added that to the list of things he was learning about his new power.
My name is Alex.
Owner of one of the biggest companies in Easton City by day.
Vigilante known as Domino at night.
I often spend my days prowling the buildings and escaping the clutches of my overprotective Atlantean friend, Ria.
I also haven't slept in four days and get along quite well with the Bat family.
I mean, Bruce tells me to go to sleep, but what harm could staying up for a few more hours do?
Element thrust her wave into the building, causing debris to fly into the air. "This mission was pointless!" She grunted.
Avery chuckled. "Not really. Just wait until Dylan catches up, then you'll see," she smiled, her eyes glittering with untold information.
Element peered over at Avery, but now that she was sure that it wasn't for nothing, she demolished half of the building with the rest of her wave.
"Oscar, I need you over here! NOW!" Avery shouted, looking around frantically.
"I'm on my way," the car stated simply.
Avery groaned. "Okay, but what's your ETA (estimated time of arrival)?"
"Right now," he said, suddenly appearing in front of the group.
With a glance at the two people behind her, Avery jumped into the driver's seat and shouted, "C'mon! Get in!"
Vaughn slid into the backseat, his grip on the pistol tight again as he watched to make sure no one left the building.
Element hopped into. the car, and let her tidal wave drop. "We gotta go!" she shouted.
As the car lifted off the ground, Avery muttered under her breath, "Right now would be a really great time to show up, Dylan!"
Element groaned as people started to rush out the building towards them. She climbed out of the window and onto the roof, planting her feet firmly. With a deep breath, she pulled the remains of the tidal wave up in front of them, debris and all. "Come ON Dylan!" She screamed, her teeth clenched.
“If he doesn’t hurry up, I will shoot them!” Vaughn shouted as he rolle the window down.
Element shoved her foot in front of Vaughn's face as a silent 'shut up', and grunted as bullets smacked the wave. It was heavy, and she wouldn't be able to hold it much longer.
Dylan finally caught up to them, hefting the cave above his head. He removed part of it, pushed the man into the car with a hand, then slid into the car, holding a dagger to Reiseils throat.
With no explanation or even a hint of his usual cockyness, he shouted, "Go!"
"Hit it, Oscar!" Avery shouted, not fazed a bit by Dylan's sudden appearance.
The car quickly lifted off the ground and cloaked itself, then shot towards Avery's warehouse.
"Okay. Now, explain to me what just happened," Avery demanded, glancing into the back through the rearview mirror.
Element thrust her wave into the rest of the building, and dropped onto the roof of the car. With quick movements she rolled off, and was flying beside it. She went around, opened the door, and slid in. "You forgot me." she mumbled.
Avery cringed, casting an embarrassed look at her friend. "Sorry," she apologized. "We're kinda in a rush, though, and you obviously had no trouble catching up."
Vaughn put his gun away and kept the window cracked. He exhaled sharply and leaned back, rubbing at his eyes.
With another glance back at the others, Avery saw Vaughn looking uncomfortable.
Shoot, she thought, cringing again. I forgot about Vaughn's… condition.
"Oscar, go full speed," she immediately ordered the car. "And what's our current ETA?"
"No need to be so demanding. We should be there in just a few minutes, Aspect," the car clipped, being sassier than it needed to be.
Avery rolled her eyes at the car's attitude and rolled the rest of the windows down.
Element narrowed her eyes as the wind hit her face. "I don't think we should go to the warehouse." she said after a few minutes.
After thinking for a while, Avery nodded her head in agreement. "You're probably right, but where else can we go?" she wondered.
