Hearing a voice, Arabelle quickly turned around, drawing the knife she had hidden in her belt loop. Peering through the trees, she saw a girl and another guy.
"My name's Arabelle," she shouted back, "but you can call me Arie. Who're you?"
Floyd jerked awake, a pounding in his head as he found he was face down on the floor of a forest. “The hell?!” He exclaimed, jumping to his feet. He groaned for a pain in his head and stumbled a tad. He heard voices in the instance and slowly made his way towards them.
"If ya'll could talk a bit louder, that'd be splendid," Matt drawled as he staggered to his feet, managing to stay upright by leaning against a tree.
"The name's Daso," he replied with a suave grin.
Arabelle glanced back down at the man at her feet. Nudging him a bit harder this time, she said, "Sure. Now, GET UP."
"I'd say it's nice to meet you, Daso, but I can't exactly say that in this situation," she stated, looking towards the others again.
Floyd saw the group and jogged over, feeling slightly unsteady. “Who are you all? How the hell did we get here?” He questioned, blinking black from his vision.
"Howdy Dah-sow," Matt still shaded his eyes against the sun. "Fancy meeting you out in this part of the woods" he grinned at his own irony.
"I'm up I'm up. Calm your boots lassy," Matt batted at her weakly with a hand. "The name's Matthias. Most folks just call me Matt."
Arabelle grunted and rolled her eyes at Matt. Turning to the new guy, she introduced herself, "My name's Arabelle, but you can call me Arie. As to how we got here, I couldn't tell you even if I wanted to."
“Nice to meet you both, call me Floyd,” Floyd said, his tone slow and careful. His head pounded, and the sunlight only seemed to make it worse. He felt at his pockets, checking for his cellphone. “Phone is gone,” he muttered to himself.
Matthias grumbled under his breath as he straightened and attempted to walk away from the others, only to walk in a circle and run right into a tree. A feeling of unsettlement in his stomach arose and he at least tried to face away from the others in case he might have to puke.
"I'm Roberta, call me Ro." Ro scanned the group. "Well, aren't we a sorry bunch," she noted.
(@writelikeyourerunningoutoftime how should we progress the plot from here?)
Flyn laughed lively, but it faded off into coughing and, he rubbed at his stinging eyes.
(i'm tempted to make my character say a meme but it wouldn't fit with the plot at all. only his accent.
Your honour, I may be a simple country boy
but cornbread don't go sideways in da winter)
Lyssie wandered through the forest, following the sound of voices. She emerged in a clearing, and stood warily at the edge.
Spinning her knife around in her fingers, Arabelle looked around. Seeing another girl in the distance, she motioned for her to come closer.
All of a sudden, a package dropped into the middle of the group.
She walked closer wearily, almost getting hit by the package.
(Have to go for a bit, feel free to take my character over for a bit.)
Daso eyed the package with suspicion. "What's that?" He queried, stepping over to it and peering down at it. "Hope it's not a bomb or something." He kinda hoped it was food, but chances are, nah.
“All of this is so insane, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was,” Floyd commented. “I will gladly let you do the honors of opening it, though,” he continued, chuckling.
"Oh, thanks, man. Real nice of you. So nice." Daso scowled as he poked the package with his foot. He took it in his hands, shaking it carefully, flinching as though it were going to attack him. Finally, he tore open the top, and glanced inside. "It's…a piece of paper?"
