"I came home glowing, and dad got pissed. He's not too happy that he has a fag for a son." Jay spat out, closing his eyes again.
"I came home glowing, and dad got pissed. He's not too happy that he has a fag for a son." Jay spat out, closing his eyes again.
Finn frowned at that. He wanted to comfort him but he knew that any touch wouldn’t go over well. “Did you go to the hospital?” He asked noticing that his eye looked like it really needed medical attention.
(gtg to bed soon. good night!)
Jay snorted softly. "No." he replied. "I'll be fine. Not the first time this has happened."
His anger flared slightly at that but he tried not to show it. He didn’t want it to seem like he was mad at Jay. “You should still see someone,” Jay pleaded slightly his voice full of concern. “Can you even see out if your damaged eye?”
"Don't need to. And yeah, I can." Jay replied stubbornly, opening his eyes as if to prove it. The right eye was still normal looking, if a little bloodshot. The left eye, however…it was bruised, and the burst blood vessel had leaked blood all over the white, making his blue eyes look rather freakish, like something out of a nightmare.
Finn looked right into his eyes. “Fine can you see correctly?” He asked also stubborn. “At least let me take you too the nurse. I know her she won’t report it.”
(gtg)
Jay shook his head again. "I can see just fine." he replied. "And no. I'm not going to the nurse." he replied.
(Ok good night!)
“Why not? You could get permanent damage if you don’t get it looked at,” Finn argued.
"No. The nurse will tell the management, who will tell the government, who will send a social worker. And then the social worker will stick their nose everywhere, and then dad will beat me worse when they leave. Okay?" Jay buried his head in his arms again.
“Like i said she won’t report it if you go with me,” Finn tried again. His hand inches away from Jay’s arm.
"No." Jay said again, voice muffled.
“Can you at least let me check it after class?” Finn asked.
Jay was silent for a long moment. "Why?" he finally asked, quietly.
“So I can make sure you’re ok,” Finn explained.
Jay hesitated again. "I…" he took a deep breath.
He placed her hand on his arm. “I’m going to do the paper. Will you meet me in the bathroom after class?”
"Fine." Jay muttered, tensing a little at the touch. He was so used to only being touched when people wanted to hurt him, that he didn't know how to respond when people weren't.
He rubbed his arm slightly before turning to his paper.
Jay closed his eyes, his head still buried in his arms.
Finn finished the paper jus the fore the bell rang. He tried to ignore the shine that peaked out of his glove while he sat this close to Jay.
Jay's cheek was glowing brightly. He sat up, and put the hood over his head again, though that didn't disguise the glow very well.
"Meet me in the bathroom," Finn said moving far enough away so their marks glow weakened.
He nodded a little. He put on his backpack and stood up, wincing. He limped slightly as he walked away, heading to the nearest bathroom.
Finn followed at a safe distance. The bathroom was surprisingly empty for this time of the day. he brought Jay to the handicap stall.
