(alrighty! I'm assuming Jay is the one with the slap mark, then, since he's not at all likely to slap Finn?)
Jay stiffened a little, then gathered up his papers, putting them in his backpack and zipping it back up. "What, is that how big you wish yours was?" He asked sarcastically, crossing his arms.
Alex’s smirk dropped “listen here loud ass you need to learn to keep your mouth shut…” he was actually about the same height as Jay being the shortest one on the team so he wasn’t very intimidating. That’s why when he said that dan stepped behind Jay and the rest of the team took a step closer.
Jay swallowed nervously, but hid his nervousness well, staring at Alex. "Loud ass, really? I wasn't aware my ass was loud. Then again, I don't think my ass produces as much shit as your mouth." He said rudely.
Alex clenched his jaw. “Fine but you asked for it,” as soon as he said that Dan lifted him up by his arm. “Let’s all double check that we sent the poor guy who has to end up with this pathetic piece of trash.” Alex practically spit in Jay’s face as Dan held him back.
Jay flinched, eyes narrowing. "What are you talking about?" He retorted, struggling against Dan but unable to extricate himself from the larger male's grip.
(Gtg to bed now. Good night!)
(Alright good night!)
Alex slapped Jay landing right where his mark is. He investigated his own hand after even though his mark was on his arm. He smirked. “Good I think I’d kill myself if you were my soulmate,” He said matter of factory before stepping to the side.
Jay flinched at the slap, and bit his lip, not letting himself cry out. He closed his eyes after a moment. Could always be worse. He told himself, even as he mentally counted how many were in their group. How many times they would hit him.
The rest of the team hit him all landing in the same spot. Finn was last standing in the back still on his phone.
Jay's cheek was bruised and painful now, the edges of the bruise peeking out of the hand print. He opened his eyes, lips pressed into a thin line.
“Come on Finn! Your turn,” Alex said still smirking. Finn rolled his eyes.
“Come on guys we’re waisting our time. I need to get to class,” he said looking at his friends but not even glancing at Jay.
“Come on! You scared he’s your soulmate or something? It’ll only take a second!” Dan grunted still holding Jay. Finn rolled his eyes again and stepped forward. He was the only one out of the group with his mark on his hand but he didn’t think about that as he raised it.
Jay clenched his jaw, then realized that if he clenched it and Finn hit hard enough, it would break his jaw. So he relaxed it. He had given up squirming against Dan's hold a while ago, taking the slaps in silence. Up until the last two, which had been harder, and his mark hurt so badly, that a few whimpers of pain had escaped him. "Please don't." He said softly, the fight gone.
Finn bit his lip and brought his hand down but stop right before hitting his cheek. Deciding to lightly place his whole hand over the mark. She took it off after a moment. “Happy now?” He asked Alex who’s eyes where wide staring between the two.
Jay flinched slightly at the touch, having been expecting a hit just as bad as the others before. He frowned a little at Alex's expression, stumbling and falling onto his knees when Dan let go. He looked up at the group, eyes darting around as he tried to figure out what was going on.
Finn looked confused until he looked back at Jay his eyes going wide. “That’s- no way,” he mumbled. Trying to hide his own hand but just accidentally drawing attention to it.
Jay's eyes flicked to Finn's hand, and spotted the glowing nimbus of color that had taken over the black stain. He touched his cheek with his hand, then pulled out his phone, turning it into selfie mode so he could see. His cheek was bruised and mottled, but the black mark…was glowing. Was a rainbow of color. His jaw clenched, and he swallowed, looking up at Finn again. "Oh, fuck no." he said.
One of his team mates started laughing but shut up when Finn glared at him. He brought his team into a huddle position leaving Jay to the side with his things throw a around him.
Jay swallowed, putting his phone away. He put his things in his backpack, and stood up, starting to slip away quietly. His breath was coming a bit faster than it should have. It can't be him, it can't. He thought, swallowing. He headed for the bathroom, almost wanting to lock himself in a stall and cry.
When the group was done talking the rest of the team walked away while Finn silently fallowed Jay into the bathroom. He pushed him into the handicap stall and locked the door even though no one else was in there.
Jay looked up at him, and flinched, backing away a little as if he expected Finn to hurt him. And maybe he did. "What do you want?" he snapped, ignoring the fact that both his cheek and Finn's hand were still glowing.
“I need to make sure we are in agreement right now. “You can not tell anyone about what just happened,” he said glaring down at him.
Jay crossed his arms. "Yeah yeah, fuck off. I get it. You don't want me as your soulmate. Guess what? I don't want you either." He lifted his chin. God. I dreamed about this. Spent years of my life wondering who my soulmate was, what he would look like. Only for it to be…him.
His hand bounced against his leg. “I’m being serious here you can’t tell anyone anything that includes the whole team slapping you,” he says. His glare weakened. He can’t believe this was happening. He purposely stayed away from and tried not to touch anyone new with his whole hand. Well specifically not touching guys.
"Yeah? Why not?" Jay challenged. He was both scared, and pissed off. The only thing that had gotten him through some days was dreaming, hoping that he would eventually meet his soulmate, and that he would be loved. And this…this was not what he had ever even dreamed of happening.
“As long as you don’t rat them out they won’t rat on us and then beat your ass,” he said scrunching up his nose.
He huffed out a bitter laugh. "You're worried about me? Yeah right." He crossed his arms. "They'll find an excuse to beat my ass anyway. That's what happens." His lip curled in derision.
