Meg looked around at her newfound fellow “superheroes,” a slightly wild look appearing in her eyes. “I’ve got to check home, guys. If that guy was telling the truth…” Meg’s voice trailed off. “Dad can’t take that again,” she whispered.

“Well shoot.” Jake said, kicking a rock.

"Guys the city's burning!" Lila shouted at the others, "Are we going to do anything about it?!"

“Put it out? Call the firefighters? 911?”

“I’m guessing that the Thomas guy would’ve targeted them first. Lila, you help with the fires. Anyone else who can, do. The rest of us will deal with the civilians,” Meg said. She found herself not thinking of herself as a ‘civilian’, really, not anymore.

“I can and I do!” Jake volunteered.

"Got it Meg," Lila said she ran off towards the city to help anyone she could.

“Help with fires?” Maragaret asked Jake skeptically.

"Well, where do we start looking? Though we had some issues, I couldn't live without Peter or Nebula or any of the others."

“Thanks, Lila!” Meg called after Lila’s retreating form.

“Help with fires?” Maragaret asked Jake skeptically.

“I don’t know how.” Jake shrugged.

“I don’t know. I’m guessing you know the galaxy the best of all of us; do you want to ty starting the search after we confirm they’re gone?”
