( Yes you may join, we started it over so there is still a chance for you to do a smooth introduction. We are in the semi-middle of the starting over plan so there are some people already having their parts going.)
(Okay what parts are open? Here's my character by the way: Cordella Marissa
but the occupation in this situation can be like past job)

Marius walked into the working station he had heard of another surgeon who would be working with him. He did not like the Idea of working together with someone, but the captain said he would have to. Marius was use to working alone ore giving orders to others, his only wish with working with his partner is that they would screw up. That was the one thing he dreaded.
Marius opened the doors to the station, not expecting to see a woman there but he ignored his ignorance and did his best not to sound to egotistic. Marius stuck his hand out to shake "My name is Marius, Marius Black if the captain did not tell you we will be working with each other, I don't expect you to do well, that's why I'm here, I've trained many ways and I'm advanced in surgery. I do not expect anything professional for these crew members except stitches because they accidentally cut themselves, so it looks like we have an easy job."
( For your character i would go for a crew member but also a carpenter or striker. She'll be one of the main fighters for the crew if you would like.)
(Cool cool, she can be the carpenter along with a fighter if that works.)
Cordella Marissa lay on the deck, hat over her face, completely asleep. She shifted when the Captain made his entrance, but stayed in her dreams.
She was dreaming of her life back in the A9 again. It had been great, sailing the open water, having an entire fleet to command, practically bathing in gold and jewels. That was, until the mutiny. Her damned ((can I say that?)) first mate had gotten jealous of her power and somehow convinced half the crew and a few of the other ships to rebel. Cordella had been pushed into the water, so generously given a small rowboat and left to go after either her weapons and belongings they dropped or her cat. She'd picked Zawba, of course, as the tiny kitten would have died in minutes if she hadn't. Then she rowed after her things but only managed to salvage a trunk of clothes and her sword. The clothes were a bit wet but they were her nicest dresses and a stashed bag of gold that had apparently been a smart choice.
And now she was doomed to work as a carpenter on a ship for somebody else. Ugh this blows. She woke from her dream and groaned. Taking the hat off, she put a hand up to shield her eyes from the blinding sun and looked around. Oh, people were working. What was she supposed to be doing?
Alice Sona-Surgeon
When Marius finished, Alice fought the urge to roll her eyes. He is so egotistical. Putting on a kind smile, she took his hand and shook it firmly. “Nice to meet you, Marius. I’m Alice, Alice Sona. I’m glad to know my partner is someone who is on the equal level as me.
“You’re new here, right?” She asked, just for confirmation. She hadn’t seen his face around before. “Do you need me to give you a tour around the room so you know where the medicines are?” She gestured to the cabinets and shelves behind her.
(Is a pilot spot open? if anything I'd like that job, if not main-gunner would be pretty cool, after confirmation I'll join.)

(I think pilot is taken, but go for main gunner.)
( Pilot is taken.)

"Yes, I am new and I do think a tour could help me out although I'm pretty sure everything will be just fine, nothing looks like it gets too intense around here." He looked around the room surveying it. It was Marius's first time working with pirates and he did not think anything would get very bad for all they do is drink and talk all day. He thought pirates were criminals as they stole from other ships but the Cunning Beast hadn't made any gestures on this boat proving what tales tell him to be, although it could be because it's his crew he acts more generously towards everyone. Marius snapped out of his thoughts. "To know what I'll be working with, what was the most intense medical case on this ship?"
Alice Sona - Surgeon
“Well, there was this on case where a pirate lost their lower half. They lived, it was a miracle.” Alice said, remembering the fond memory. She had saved them and was praised, then people started taking her seriously. “But I doubt that would ever happen again… but it’s common for them to lose an arm or leg, finger or toe. And very common for them to get scurvy. That’s why I grow fruits in here.”
Alice took gestures toward the papers on the desk, “This is where you note the patients condition, it’s a log. Of course you would know that. Over there-“ she said, gesturing toward the cabinets, “-is where I store the acetyl salicylic acid and such. Fruits over there. Bandages over here.” Alice continued, walking around the room.
“Got that?” Alice asked, when she finished the tour. “I know it’s not a lot to take in, but I’m bad at explaining things. So, just want to make sure you understood it.”
