Finn was still fast asleep, exhausted from everything yesterday. After all, he'd been attacked in the forest and had two panic attacks. He curled up a bit more in the covers, looking much more peaceful while he was asleep. Teagan was asleep as well on the other side of the bed.
Beatrice got on her phone, where she ignored a few texts and scrolled through peoples instagram posts.
Finn huddled up against Beatrice in his sleep, yawning as he tried to get more comfortable. He was accustomed to having warmth from another person while sleeping since he and Teagan were used to sleeping on the floor with each other as blankets. Finn was close to Beatrice now, but he obviously had no idea.
Beatrice sighed and kept scrolling through her phone, she smiled a bit when Finn huddled close to her but ignored it for the most part.
It took Finn a while to finally start waking up, at which point he yawned and rolled over. He stretched, groaned, and eventually opened his eyes, blinking tiredly at the wall.
Beatrice gave him a light smile.
"Good morning." She told him cheerily.
"Mmnh… morning. I guess I fell asleep during the movie…" Finn sighed and sat up.
Beatrice nodded.
"You did." She told him "you missed the good part, but it's cool, we can always watch it again."
She looked back to her phone.
"You feelin' okay this morning?" She asked.
"Oh, sorry…" Finn rubbed at his eyes for a moment and then ran his fingers through his hair. "I'm alright. S-Sorry about… um… y'know. All that."
Beatrice waved her hand in the air.
"Forget about it." She said kindly "no need to apologize."
Finn nodded and looked down, fidgeting with his hands. "It's just… embarrassing. And a little dangerous. I don't have enough control over my emotions. That's why people are scared of werewolves in the first place."
Beatrice smiled brightly at him.
"But I'm not scared of you," she said "so those people and I are very different."
"I know… doesn't make it any less embarrassing, though." He flushed and looked away, looking uncomfortable. "I hate this stupid… whatever it is. I hate being like this. I hate not being able to control myself."
Beatrice placed a calm hand on his shoulder.
"Finn," she said "I know you hate it, but the most you can do is figure out how to not let it beat you, like breathing techniques or something and don't keep apologizing for it."
Finn looked over at Beatrice weakly, cowering a bit. "What can I do? Breathing techniques? What are those?" He asked. Evidently he'd never heard of breathing techniques before.
Beatrice smiled softly.
"It's like taking a deep inhale, holding it for five seconds, then letting it out. Stuff like that." She told him.
"Oh…" Finn hummed thoughtfully and then tried it, slowly drawing in a breath, holding it for a bit, and then exhaling slowly. It did seem to help him feel more relaxed. "What other stuff is there?"
Beatrice stayed silent, thinking it over and then shrugged.
"I dunno, like focusing on something around you, or someone I guess?" She suggested.
"Mmnh…" Finn closed his eyes and rested his head against the wall. "I'll Google some stuff later, I guess. I'll probably forget, though."
Beatrice closed her eyes and nodded.
"I'll remind you—that is—if I remember." She told him, opening her eyes and giving him a smile.
Finn nodded as well and looked up, toying with his hands. "Do we have any plans for today?" He asked, looking over at Irena to see if she'd woken up yet.
Beatrice shook her head.
"I'm probably going to part ways with you guys, I don't want to overstay my welcome and everything." She said with a small smile.
"You're not overstaying your welcome!" Finn insisted. "You're always welcome to join us if you want. We don't mind."
Beatrice lifted her hand and moved it up and down, from side to side.
"Eh," she said "you guys might think i'm not overstaying my welcome but in my head I'll think i'm being annoying."
"But you aren't, promise!" Finn whined, looking back over to Beatrice. "I'm twins with annoying, and you're definitely not."
