"I thought you didn't like working out?" Kenzi grinned. She was surprised she even offer to go together. "I have to change into my jogging clothes before we go." She lightly pushed April off and stood up.
"I thought you didn't like working out?" Kenzi grinned. She was surprised she even offer to go together. "I have to change into my jogging clothes before we go." She lightly pushed April off and stood up.
"I'm okay with it, I just don't bother that often. I get enough exercise as it is, taking fencing, yoga, and taekwondo, and learning dance forms from around the world, among other things. I save the unending sore feeling for after those classes." she said. "I'll just get into shorts and a cute top yeah?" she walked into her bedroom.
"If you want." Kenzi went into her room and changed into workout pants and a sports bra. She threw her hair up on a ponytail and grabbed a water bottle. "You almost ready?" Slipping on her shoes, Kenzi put everything she needed into her backpack and waited by the door.
(Sorry, it totally sucks. I'm having an off day, so my writing might not be the best.)
April put on a crop top and short shorts and grabbed a water bottle. "Ready when you are." she said.
Kenzi looked at April and smiled. "You look cute. You should wear stuff like that more often." She opened the door and walked out and own the hallway to the exit. She couldn't wait to get her jog on.
"Yup. Let's go."
Kenzi tightened her shoes before jogging down the street. "Hey Kenzi." A guy waved jogging the other way down the street. "Hey." She waved back. She practically knew everyone because she's done this so much.
"Who's that?" April the very jealous roomate asked.
"Oh, that's Joe. We jog together sometimes." Kenzi could run for hours without getting tired. It also helped she was on the high school and college track team. It just made her feel good. "He's really nice."
"Ah. I see."
"What's wrong? You seem upset." Kenzi was worried that April didn't actually want to go jogging with her. "I mean you didn't have to come if you didn't want too." Though she was happy that she did.
"It's nothing." April said. If that son of a motherless goat dares touch my future girlfriend I will rip out his heart so fast he'll be able to see it beat it's last beat. she thought angrily.
"Hm, okay if you're sure." Kenzi slowed to a stop. "I'm hungry. I forgot to eat breakfast." Her stomach was growling, begging for food. "Never mind I'll be fine. Let's continue."
"Nah, why not get something to eat?" she asked.
"I mean, I, its just." Kenzi knew she couldn't argue with April, and giving up was the best choice right now. "Okay, I guess we can." There was a small cafe around here that Kenzi really liked. "I know of a place, unless you had something in mind?"
"No, let's go wherever you want to."
"Okay, well theres this cute little cafe around the corner." Kenzi grabbed April's arm and dragged her down the street. "It's not far don't worry."
"Sounds great."
Kenzi entered the cafe with April, and everyone greeted her. "Joe? Weren't you jogging the other way?" Kenzi asked as she saw her friend sitting at a table. "I was then coffee sounded nice so I made a U-turn and came here." She shrugged and walked up to the counter. "What do you want? I'll pay."
"Just a regular coffee, please. Two sugars."
"I'll take a cup of water, and a breakfast sandwich." Kenzi handed the money over and went to sit down. "They usually bring the food when it's done." She said as she looked for a table.
"Ah, okay ."
"Where do you want to sit? Booth, table?" Kenzi couldn't decide, so she'll let April pick. "You guys could sit with me." Joe suggested. Kenzi looked over at April to see what she thought.
"No, we're fine." April said stiffly.
"Hm. Okay, I guess I'll see you tonight Kenzi." Kenzi nodded before walking away and finding a booth to sit at. "You know, you could have gotten something to eat if you wanted." She slid into the booth and reading the sign that was on the table. She always did that when she went somewhere to eat.
