About two hours later Kenzi had finally gotten her work done. "April I'm done." When she came out of her room she saw that April was asleep on her. "Hm." She smiled and looked at her sleeping face. "Cute." Grabbing the blanket off the edge of the couch and covered her.
April woke up when she felt the soft fabric drape over her. "Hey, Kenzi." she grinned.
"Yes?" Kezi was sitting on the floor in front of the couch reading a book. It was a good book, so she didn't mind reading while April slept. Plus she didn't want to wake her up.
"Nothing, just saying hi."
"Oh." She looked over at April, reading glasses on and smiled. "Hi." Closing her book she set it on the table. "How was your nap?"
"Okay, I suppose. You look cute in glasses."
(I have to go for a bit.)
"Do I?" She pushed her glasses up her nose. "Do I not look good without them?" Of course Kenzi was joking. "Man, I hate essays." She took her glasses off, she didn't need them unless she was reading.
"You look fantastic either way." she grinned.
"Thank you." Kenzi couldn't hold her smile back. "I'm a bit thirsty, how about you?" Kenzi stood and walked to their tiny kitchen and grabbed a water.
"If you saw so." She leaned against the counter. "We have time to do something. What to go to the party Jess was talking about?" Kenzi was a party girl, and would dance for hours, drinking not so much. Maybe one or two, but that's it.
"No, I don't feel like going to a party right now."
"Then what do you want to do?" Kenzi was down for anything, so she'll let April pick.
"I have no idea." April said.
"Well, you don't like doing outdoors things and you don't want to go party." Kenzi walk over and sat next to April. "I'm a flexible person, so I'll let you choose."
"I don't really want to do anything right now." April said. (Gtg for the night, bye!)
"So you just want to sit here?" How weird. "I mean I'm okay with that." Kenzi slipped her glasses back on and grabbed her book. "I'll just finish reading then."
"Okay." April said, lying back down.
Kenzi was reading her book but kept nodding off. She was so tired after waking up early and jogging, to going shopping, then school. Soon enough she was passed out on the couch and curled up into a ball.
April put a blanket over the two of them and shuffled closer to Kenzi for warmth, and the fact that though she wouldn't admit it, her friend smelled nice, like flowers and dark chocolate and the smell of dust after rain.
Kenzi smiled at the warmth and pulled whatever it was closer. Snuggling was always something that Kenzi liked. "So warm."
"Mmphlemmejus'sleeep." April muttered into a pillow.
"But, you're so warm." Kenzi mumbled, and slightly laughed. "The couch is a little small though." She shifted trying to get more comfortable.
