"That's all I'm good for huh?" Kenzi laughed, hanging up her new clothes. She couldn't stand a messy room, or a messy anything for that fact. "What are you working on?"
"That's all I'm good for huh?" Kenzi laughed, hanging up her new clothes. She couldn't stand a messy room, or a messy anything for that fact. "What are you working on?"
"Just an extra credit project. I think I've got the essay done pretty well, I just need someone, like you, to correct my grammar." she said.
"Hm. I see." The last shirt was hung up when Kenzi's phone went off. "I'll look at it later, okay?" Grabbing her phone she walked out of the room, and went outside. "Hello?" There was a lot of noise in the background of where her friend Jess was at. "Hey, Ken." Keni frowned at the nickname. She hated when people called her that. "There's a party tonight and I want you to come." Jess was a good friend and Kenzi liked to party, but tonight was a bad night. She had homework to do and she already said she would help Apirl. "Sorry, not tonight. Bye." She hung up quickly, if she didn't Jess would have begged her to come and wouldn't stop.
"So, I presume that was Jess? Calling about a party, I presume." April The Wannabe Sherlock Holmes said.
"Yeah." The door closed behind her as she walked back inside. "I would go, though I have a lot of stuff to do tonight." Kenzi slumped onto the couch. She didn't want to do anything, in fact all she wanted to do was sleep. "Alright, show me what I need to fix." The sooner she got everything done the sooner she could sleep.
"I just want you to check it over and correct things if they're wrong." she said, handing Kenzi a few pages of sloppily written essay and a pen.
"Oh, man. Okay." There weren't many things that needed fixing, honestly it was really good. Kenzi fixed up a few spots and changed some words that would sound better with what she was saying. It only took a couple minutes for her to do it all, and she was relieved when she was done. "It's better than your last one." Kenzi jokes, nudging April in the side. The papers slid across the table when she passed them back to April.
"Thanks." April said, unable to hide the blush that had been triggered when Kenzi had nudged her side in a playful manner.
"I think I'll do my work later." Laying her head back on the couch, she sighed. "I'm bored, we should do something." Anything that will cure her boredom, she'll do. Watching a movie, taking a walk, anything will do.
(Where do they live?)
(A dormitory in a college I guess?)
(Yeah, haha but like where?)
(Idk? Just a college I guess?)
(Can I just say they are in Cali?)
(What's a "Cali"? Do you mean California? Calico? Idk…. I don't know anything about California but I know about Michigan and a bit about Cardiff (Wales) but like idk wherever you want I guess?)
(Well, since you know a bit about Michigan, we could do there. Where are you from exactly?)
(I'm from sort of everywhere within Michigan. I moved around a lot when I was younger, but I have pretty good knowledge of the state in general.)
(Okay Michigan it is. I've never been there but that's okay.)
(We could have them be in Lansing? Or Kalamazoo or Battle Creek. Any of those work.)
(Any of them are fine.)
(Kalamazoo then?) April flopped down on the couch. "Wanna watch a movie or something?" she asked
"Definitely!" Kenzi could never turn down a movie, especially with her best friend. "What are we going to watch?" Maybe I should make some snacks.
"Well, a horror film is always fun." she gave a malicious grin. April would obviously pick the scariest movie possible, one that would give both of them nightmares for weeks.
"I mean, okay." Kenzi always had trouble with scary movies. "Should I make some snacks?" Popcorn, candy, icecream, it all sounded amazing right now.
"If you want." she said.
"Do you have anything you want me to make?" Kenzi was already making popcorn and had some candy out. "Anything to drink?"
