"Anything's fine." she said.
"Anything's fine." she said.
Rummaging through, the fridge she grabbed a soda for April and a water for her. She poured the popcorn in a bowl and the candy in another. "Alright." Setting all the food on the coffee table she sat back down. "I'm ready."
"Hell yes!" April said, starting the movie.
"What movie are we watching?" Kenzi's voice trembled a little, while she pulled and pillow close to her chest. She was definitely going to use that pillow. "I will most likely jump a lot."
"It's called [Insert a bloody terrifying sounding name here]. I've read the reviews, it's supposed to be brilliant."
"I'm going to hate this aren't I?" Her knees moved up to her chest. "Oh, man. I don't think I'm ready for this." Taking a handful of popcorn, she shoved it in her mouth.
"Don't worry, you can just hold onto me if you get scared." April said, putting her arm around Kenzi.
"Aw, my hero." Kenzi laughed and leaned close to April. "So, I might fall asleep, just warning you now." The movie started out okay but as it went on it got more scary. Kenzi covered her eyes most of the time, hearing it was still scary but at least she didn't have to look.
"Oh, come on, it isn't that bad. Seriously, it's not that scary at all." she said.
"Maybe for you." Kenzi mumbled. She didn't understand how April could watch stuff like this. "We should go swimming or something next time."
"Ah, swimming is boring." she grinned. Suddenly, the sound of screaming came from the television and caused even April to flinch a bit.
"What? Swimming is way more fun than this." Kenzi was more of an active person. Hiking, swimming, working out, anything like that. Movie time wasn't bad, but she would like to watch Star wars or something next time.
"Yes, but it involves physical activity." April gave a mock shudder.
"And I love physical activity." She laughed. "You get exercise." Kenzi had a fear of gaining weight, and it was a bad thing. When she was younger she wouldn't eat for days, she's gotten batter though.
"Exercise is lame."
"No it's not." Kenzi's eyes narrowed. "It keeps you fit and healthy. She didn't even realize the movie ended because of them talking. April was fun to hangout with, but her and Kenzi were so different it hard to find something they both liked to do.
"Come on, it's no fun to just jog down a few feet of pavement."
"Well I think it is." Kenzi crossed her arms and pouted. Now that the movie was over, she knows she has to go do her essay. "I don't want to write my essay." She bounced back quickly from her little fit.
"Okay. Whatever."
"I have to do my homework." She stood up, now feeling gross from eating so much junk food. "What are you going to do?"
"Absolutely nothing."
"I know." She laid her hand on April's shoulder. "You just no fun unless I'm around." She winked playfully.
"Fun is overrated." she huffed.
"I'll be done in a bit then we can hang out okay?" Kenzi walked into her room and shut her door. "Okay, let's get this done."
April decided to take a nap. She lay down on the couch and leaned back, closing her eyes.
