Fae caught his look, pausing for a second. “Am— am I doing something wrong?”, she asked quietly with a note of fear on her voice. She twisted the ring on her finger anxiously.
Fae caught his look, pausing for a second. “Am— am I doing something wrong?”, she asked quietly with a note of fear on her voice. She twisted the ring on her finger anxiously.
"Not at all," he responded reassuringly, leaned back casually against the counter.
Fae blushed ever so slightly. “Want to start?”, she asked quickly, suddenly finding herself flustered by Cruz’s casual demeanour.
He just nodded in reply, holding a crooked grin.
That grin set her off every time. She truffled to keep her cool and not disintegrate into vigorous blushing. She began preparing the wheel.
"My tío wants to meet you," Cruz commented.
Fae whirled around. “Oh— um, sure. I-I’d love to” And it was true, she did. But what if she wasn’t good enough. “So would my parents, I think.”
"He's really chill, I promise," Cruz reassured. "He likes you from everything I've said,"
"So, Macha. What do you have in mind for us to do??" Sabine asked Macha.
Macha grinned. “I’m gonna introduce you to Niagara Falls’ best aspiring artists.”
Fae nodded tentatively. “Alright, do you know when?”
"Okay. Sounds fun!" Sabine commented.
“Let’s go!”, Macha tugged on Sabine’s hand.
Sabine laughed and let Macha drag her along.
"Whenever's cool, I guess," he replied open-endedly.
Fae got out all the paint, nodding. “I’ll ask my parents, I guess.” She gestured towards the wheel. “Want to start?”
About ten minutes later they were walking along the falls, the weather surprisingly warm and humid. Macha pointed to what looked like a colourful explosion of easels, pant buckets, ceramics, and sculptures.
He sauntered over to sit on the stool, "Sure thing, cherry pie."
Fae blushed at his nickname for her. “What ideas do you have so far?”, she asked Cruz, her hand brushing his lightly as he walked over.
He jerked his hand to lightly snatch hers, "I'll think as I go along,"
Fae nodded, warming with the comfort the simple hand holding gave her. “Go ahead.”
"Whoa. This is so awesome!" Sabine exclaimed.
Macha grinned, bumping hips with Sabine. “Come on!” She jogged closet, pulling Sbine behind her.
Sabine let out a joyful and light laugh.
They wove between displays bursting with colour. “You pick where to go first.”
