"Drained core….magic transfusion…" She brings her hand to her mouth as she coughed, and when she pulled it away, there were specks of blood. Using some dirt, she quickly wiped the blood away. "Kid's fine now…but something…went wrong….and…" she suddenly stopped talking, and she clenched one of her hands tight as another wave of pain hit her.

(Alrighty! I'll make one last post before leaving this on read lol)

Joel smells the faint irony scent of blood from Hildegarde and freezes, looking distraught.

"Did- what did you do to me?" he asks.

Lumi runs to Hildegard, placing her hands on the girl's shoulders, palms touching her chest, without asking. This was too dire to ask for fucking permission. She looks down and sees Hildegard's lungs slowly filling with blood. "Lean back." she told Hildegard. She placed her right hand just below the girl's clavicle(idrk what this is, but i think it's that place, like right below the breast area. @.@). Lumi pulsed, cauterizing the small hole that the blood was leaking through. "Stay with me, Hildegard. This is gonna hurt but don't you even think about leaving, you hear me?"

(two more posts as I'll wait for a response from spacelily)

Maya's eyes widened as she saw the scar on Franziska's shoulder. Oh. OH! It all made sense now. Nick did tell her that she had been shot during the first day of the Engarde trial and that Edgeworth had to drag her to a clinic. Of course, the loud bang had caused her to react like that. "That makes sense," was all the medium said.

She quickly covered it back up, closing her eyes to further conceal herself from pitied faces. She was not some damsel in distress. She could handle herself. Nobody had to get involved in her personal feelings.
Miles sighed. He was right. But he should’ve known before this. He should’ve suspected that this would happen. Of course she was scared. He felt, well, foolish.
"Franziska has had multiple…unsavory run-ins with firearms before." He whispered to Maya, but it was possible that the other prosecutor heard as well. "The first I remember was when she was twelve. (or 13, I forgor) A woman masquerading as a defense attorney shot at the two of us. Yew, I believe."
The blue-haired woman waited for some sort of response. Anything. She couldn't bare the silence.

(gonna do the same thing and then I'm gonna focus on schoolwork. mark twain satire essay, here i come!)

"Gave you some of my magic…" she responded and then paused. She stared at the empty space in front of her, with an expression that, quite frankly, was kind of concerning. "Otherwise you would have…died." She felt her lungs filling up with blood… and….she was going to die, wasn't she? She vaguely heard a voice telling her to lean back and she felt her muscles follow the command. And all of a sudden, Hildegard's vision went dark. She was trapped in the darkness and someone was laughing….and it almost sounded like….Father….he was yelling now and she felt his hands on her and she started pushing them away, "Let me go! Let me go, please…"

Joel whimpers quietly, squatting and starting to rock back and forth with his hands over his ears while he tries to remember who these people were, who he was. He was gasping for breath after a minute, silent tears streaming down his cheeks as he tries his hardest to remember things.

"Shit shit shit." Lumi cursed as she could see the girl go lucid. She placed her left hand on Hildegard's sternum and she touched her right to the girl's nose. Then she made a gesture like water flowing away from Hildegard. "Hang on. This is gonna fucking hurt, but you'll live." She clenched her left hand and twisted it sharply. With her right hand, Lumi touched the tip of Hilde's nose, then jerked her hand up and away from the girl. She did this a few times, painfully watching as Hilde's body clenched and jerked up every time she pulled. A flow of blood came floating out of her nose. Lumi drew it out and formed it into a literal blood rose. She then placed both her hands over the girls heart and zapped her. Hilde's heart started beating again. "Come on, Hildegard. It's over now. Pull through!"

(i lied. i'm not doing the essay.)
(Lumi: it's gonna hurt but you'll live)
(Me: For now, at least.)

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, please don't lock me up again," she muttered as she continued to push her father's hands away and then felt pain. So much pain. She felt her body clench and jerk like every nerve was on fire. Her father must have put her under the cruciatus curse, it had to be. There was no other explanation. And then, it stopped. She was no longer in immense pain. And the man in front of her, with his marred face and his horribly sickening smile, disappeared into the darkness. She stood there, her entire body shaking, tears streaming down her face.

There was a voice…it sounded almost like…Lumi.

And then another voice, "You won't be so lucky next time, Miss Hildegard Kaiser."

She gasped as she was brought back to reality, her face pale as she looked at the person in front of her.

She allowed Miles to finish speaking, and she opened her mouth to say something but then shut it close. Maya didn't know what to say, but Franziska was clearly waiting for a response. "Did you know, on the last day of my trial, the one that you prosecuted, I told Nick that I thought you were so strong? And even now, I still think that. Because it's true. You are one of the strongest people I've ever met Franziska and all of this just proves to me even more that you are strong. Nothing will ever change that. Nothing."
