Ace opened his eyes again, staring at the clock. The hands moved every minute, every hour. But he was exhausted and he couldn't keep Zodiac off of his mind. I failed her….

Dani slung her arm around Skylar's shoulders. "Thank you girls for celebrating my birthday with me."

Sarah sat down on a chair. "You know, Agent Shield wears the same frown that you are wearing almost every day." She observed.

Frankie nodded. She knew Blake cared for her. "I will. I promise. We can't waste any more time. We have to get Zodiac before they do something to her."

Ace was catapulted from his mindless self-pitying session. "Excuse me?"

Macha grinned, giving a silent okay to Sky as she got all their drinks. She turned to Sabine. "Oh my god you'll love him. Be prepared to watch Dani turn to mush." She winked. "And… I need to check on Ace…", she swallowed anxiously.

Sarah shook her head. "Never mind. It was just a casual observation."

Ace nodded and stared up at the clock, "Do you know what time it is? I need my glasses."

"I want them now," Ace sighed and then looked at her blurry face, "Will they ever stop giving me painkillers?"

Zander turned to Ellis as the little boy entered the kitchen dejectedly," Hey, are you okay Ellis?" Zander asked concerned. Oh no, is he sick? Should I find a thermometer?

"No, my Bubbah is," he mumbled fearfully, showing Zander the heron feather. The tip of the shed feather, on the barb, was crusted red.

Macha laughed, her insides squirming with worry and fear for her boyfriend.

Dani clenched her jaw. (Yes she was calling the flat phone) "Those two idiots are going to get themselves killed. But since I can't find them, let's just hope that Blake knows what he's doing. Were coming back to the flat now." Then she hung up and turned to Skylar. "Thanks." She said sarcastically. Sabine laughed again.
