He twirled the feather between his fingers, "In his room," he answered quietly.

"Hold on, I'll be right back." She said, walking a few steps away from everyone else. She pulled up her sleeve, revealing her infinity shaped birthmark on her wrist. She gently touched it, Closed her eyes and thought of Peter. He was still sleeping where she had left him a few hours ago. Skylar's heart skipped a beat. What was wrong with him? She snapped back to attention. "guys, I have to get back to the apartment. Dani, do you think I can teleport in here?" She asked frantically.

Dani took her drink from Macha. "Thank you." Then she started walking back to the flat, others behind her. "So Sabine." She started. "Exact how many did you loose?" Sabine sighed. "About two-hundred." Dani clenched her jaw again. That's a lot.

Dani nodded. "Go ahead Skylar."

"I want them now," Ace sighed and then looked at her blurry face, "Will they ever stop giving me painkillers?"

Ellis obeyed silently, contrary to his earlier childlike brightness and chattiness. His demeanor became quite morbid, looking down at his brother's feather. Hiw own glossy black wings drooped.

(Sorry I didn't see it before.) Sarah sighed too. "Sorry. I'm not the head doctor here. I can't give them to you. And they will stop giving you painkillers eventually. Just hanin there, okay? Your friends need you, and I doubt that Dani wants to loose another brother."

Peter's eyes were crusted shut, and face flushed. His wings were becoming a matted mess of sorts, shedding at ridiculous amounts of feathers— which bled at the barbs, since the feathers weren't meant to shed off so early outside of the molting cycle.

(And poor Zander! That was hilarious though.)

A nurse entered the room, with a needle. Ace scooted back, "Please don't give it to me." the nurse ignored him and put it into his shoulder and left. Ace looked at the girl sitting in the chair, "Don't pay attention to anything I say after this."

Sarah nodded at Ace. "Not my first rodeo kid." (BTW Sarah is like, 27 years old.)

I love that place. (sorry to all the kids who don't live in CA or Arizona-I feel bad for you.) IN-N-OUT is da best burger place!
