Blake's head snapped up at the sound of Frankie's voice. He shot Ace a warning glare not to say anything before giving her a soft smile. "He's recovering now. Just made it through a rough surgery."
Blake's head snapped up at the sound of Frankie's voice. He shot Ace a warning glare not to say anything before giving her a soft smile. "He's recovering now. Just made it through a rough surgery."
"Also, Frankie, I can talk, they didn't cut off my lips." Ace grinned, "I'm doing good, thanks for asking."
"Oh sorry about that Ace." Her laugh lightens the mood a bit. "I wasn't sure if you were fully conscious" Frankie went off to the two of them and kissed Blake's forehead lightly. "What exactly happened to you guys?"
"Don't wanna talk about it." Ace dropped his grin and stared at Blake.
"That's alright. I have quite the story for you guys." Frankie showed them her powers and tried to explain the events leading up to her arrival. After quite a bit of storytelling she finally said, "I have no idea what to do. I thought you guys might know."
Blake blushed, his wings unintentionally fluttering as Frankie's lips lightly grazed his forehead. "Lots of doctors and surgery." Blake said gruffly, shrugging.
"Wait, wait." Blake mumbled, startled. "Someone attacked you? And you let him go?"
"As I said before, I didn't know what to do. He seemed young and scared too. He told me he didn't want to hurt me but it was his job."
"Not really." Ace winced as he sat up. "Blake?" a nurse came in with the painkiller.
"Mr. (oh my god, I just realized I haven't told anyone Ace's last name)"
"Yes?"
"Your painkiller." she held up the needle. Ace looked at Blake, "Don't pay attention to anything I say after this." he took the shot and then smiled, "Shots are like marshmallows in snowman puddles."
"I bet they are, man." Blake ruffled Ace's hair. "He gets really loopy off the drugs they're giving him. He's sorta like a big toddler." He explained to Frankie.
"Not really." Ace winced as he sat up. "Blake?" a nurse came in with the painkiller.
"Mr. (oh my god, I just realized I haven't told anyone Ace's last name)"

What is his last name then??
"wow. He sure is artistic when on painkillers. What are they doing to him now? I thought he was done?" Frankie frowns. She's worried about him and Blake. If Ace dies Blake will never be the same. Frankie knew she didn't have a strong enough friendship with him to be influenced if he died and her lack of grief compared to everyone else's grief would cause her to be outcasted from her only friends. What would she do then? Move again?
"Not really." Ace winced as he sat up. "Blake?" a nurse came in with the painkiller.

"Doctors won't tell me much, but I'm assuming they're just numbing the pain out for him. He was sliced open less than an hour ago. The meds wear off him pretty quick too."
Ace smiled, "Art fart. HAHA! Art fart!" he busted out laughing before he started coughing and blood came out of his mouth. Ace shivered, wiping it off of his chin, "I don't like blood."
"I could see how that would happen. Maybe I can talk to the doctors." Frankie stood and approached one of the female nurses who was standing by. She shook her hand and introduced herself. "Hello! My name is Francesca Martin. I'm just here visiting my friend. I was wondering, why are you drugging him up again? From what I heard he already finished his surgery. Sorry if I'm bothering you I was just wondering."
"I was hoping that would've stopped by now." Blake's facial expression suddenly grew dark. "It's okay, Ace. Don't think about it, alright?"
The nurse regarded Frankie coldly, "I'm sorry, are you a nurse?"
"Not really." Ace winced as he sat up. "Blake?" a nurse came in with the painkiller.

If it makes you feel better, Ace calls himself Ace Aljaqx because that was Quinlan's last name and Quinlan was like a father to him.
"No blood. Tell me about cheeseburgers. How would you describe what a cheeseburger tastes like?" Blake asked, trying to distract Ace.
(goodnight y'all))
"Like heaven. On cotton candy clouds and snowflakes. I like cheeseburgers," Ace said, happily.
"I like cheeseburgers too." Blake grinned tiredly. Why did blood come out of his mouth? Shouldn't that have stopped now? Blake forced the smile to stay on his face. "You ever had a bacon cheeseburger? I really like those." Blake said absentmindedly.
