"Okay." Ace nodded, "Thanks. For staying." his voice came out fragile, like glass, like he could be easily broken.

"The… the doctors want me to leave, m-man. I may have tried to fight one. So it's sort of my fault I guess."

@Lenered

Ace laughed, and then fell victim to a cough. "Tha-(cough)-sounds-(cough)-like you." he wiped at the purple blood trickling down his chin.

"Please don't die on me." Blake whispered, covering Ace with his wing, hot tears streaming down his face.

"Bye, big bro." Blake sniffled, reluctantly withdrawing from Ace as the door cracked open, a nurse coming in to put Ace under. Blake squeezed his hand tightly. "I'm not leavin' till he's asleep."

Blake nodded, feeling Ace's grip on his hand slacken. "Stay strong." He whispered, releasing Ace's hand. He made his way to the door, tears running down his cheeks. He slid down the wall in the hallway across from the door, unable to bring himself to the apartment just yet.

@Natasha

"There is a Starbucks here. Maybe we can grab something to eat and celebrate my birthday." Dani told her friends.

@Natasha

HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHa(I called it 'the sleepy drug') I love making myself laugh.

(………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….you're dead to me.)

@blue_topaz

Macha grinned, looping an arm around Dani. “Of course! And I never got to thank you for taking us in like this.”

What is strength? They say it's being a man. And yet, strength is in unexpected places. The girl with anxiety who finally decided to throw her trash away in front of all those people. The boy who came to school wearing a dress because, guess what? He wanted to. The mother who kept her face high when her son died in the war and the father that cried because he couldn't keep all his emotions inside of him. Strength is inside the cancer patient who fought her cancer and won and strength is inside the cancer patient who fought his cancer and lost. Sometimes, strength is not never quitting, it's about being brave enough to let go. And that's exactly what Ace did. He stayed strong.

@Natasha

Dani laughed. "Your welcome. And thank you. I haven't been this happy for………………………………..eesh I don't know. Since before David died. And that was exactly seven years ago."

Oh my god I think I’m gonna cry

@Natasha

Dani nodded in agreement with Macha. Then she snickered. NO! That snicker could have just messed up the whole surprise! Dani thought with doom.

@Lenered

(@NERD that's beautiful omg)

(I agree)

I am not crying. Stupid tear, stop coming out of my eyes! Yep, not crying at all because of what I wrote.

Blake had been waiting for an unknown amount of time. It was a mix. Awake, asleep, pace, pace, pace. Somtimes it grew overwhelming. He could hear his heartbeat as he choked back a sob, having a coughing fit in the hallway. He couldn't leave. Not when Ace wasn't safe. He promised he wouldn't leave.
