The doctors were tired, it'd been 15 hours in their tiny time bubble. They wiped their brows and kept going. 10 hours later, but 10 minutes in real time, they were done and they wrapped it all up, leaving.

Blake's eyes snapped up as the door opened, scrambled to his feet. "Is he okay? Did he survive? Can I see him?" Blake was desperate.
The doctors sighed, "Let him rest, it's been an exhausting few days."

Blake nodded and sank back down where he was sitting outside the room, unwilling to disturb Ace, yet also unwilling to leave. He was alive. He was okay. Blake rested his head against the wall, trying to ease his shallow breathing.
Ace's voice came from the room, "Blake?" it was faint and soft, barely a whisper.

Blake heard him and quickly bolted into the room. "Ace?" He replied hoarsely, shutting the door with a quiet click and sitting in the chair by Ace's bedside.
