Skylar was shackled to the wall in a dark basement. It smelled musty, and the air was damp. She struggled to get out, when a dark voice came from the corner. "Welcome, Sky. So nice of you to come." A Man came out from the shadows, and approached her cautiously. Skylar tried to teleport out of the basement, but none of her powers would work. The man's suit had a badge neatly pinned to it. It was a red R.A.C badge. Not until the officer was five feet away from her did she see some familiar features in the man's face. Instantly she knew who it was. The only difference was the short cropped hair that all of the R.A.C officers had. It was obviously Jacob. "YOU." She croaked, still struggling. "Surprised?" he asked, mocking a smile. "Oh yeah. You still hate me for 'killing' Jean, don't you? Well, today is your lucky day. I'm going to bring you to her. She of course, is still alive." Skylar's heart flew to her chest and she was speachless. "No. I watched him kill her. It isn't possible." She growled threateningly. "Well she is. I was going to unshackle you and bring you to her, but if you're going to be stubborn, you can stay here.." He trailed off, turning away slightly. "No." Skylar said, knowing that this was his plan all along. 'Please." She said, gesturing to her arms and feet. He smiled, and pulled out a key from his belt loop. He quickly let her arms and legs go, but kept a firm grasp on her as they marched down a narrow hallway. The basement was a maze, designed so no one could find their way through it unless you worked there. They turned down a number of smaller hallways until they found a dead end, with a door on the right of them. "We're here. Are you ready?" She nodded reluctantly, and marched through the doorway. She was blinded by a bright light, and noticed that this room was taller than the hallways had been. Something hit her with a force, and she was knocked down, but she automatically laughed. This feeling was familiar, and she knew automatically who was hugging her. It was Jean. "Je…Jean?" She asked quietly, "Ho…How?" She asked. Jean got up. "I don't really know. I just know that one minute I was getting hit with a pole, I blacked out, and I woke up here! Jacob saved me apparently." She giggled, glancing up at Jacob. "..No… I was at your funeral! I watched them bury you!" She pushed, still confused. "I brought her back." Jacob breathed in her ear. Skylar stepped away, still confused. "You mean… She died but you revived her? How.. But why did you keep this from me?" Skylar asked. They didn't answer, but Jean played with bracelet on her wrist. Skylar looked down at it, and noticed that it had a pendant on it, identical to the badges the R.A.C wore. "You… You work for the R.A.C now? But they're the ones who killed you! They're the one's who…" Skylar started to feel the heavy damp air lifting, and she could faintly hear beeping noises. Jacob and Jean looked at each other. "You're waking up." Jean said, holding onto Sky's hand. "What?" She asked, starting to feel dizzy. "You're dreaming right now. Just remember, this was all real. I really AM alive. Please, Sky. Come find me.. We can work together. I miss you. Please, Sky…" Jean was fading away into white mist, but Skylar could still feel her presence.

Skylar woke with a start. She was laying on a bed, connected to wires in a bright room that smelled like hand sanitizer. She layed there for a few minutes until she realized there was another person in the room. She saw a nurse fiddling with her tubes and wires. "Wher..e Am I?" she asked, trying to sit up, but she felt sharp pains in her side and she lay back down. The nurse jumped at the sudden noise, and replied, "The hospital, sweetie. You broke your ribs and you have a mild concussion. I'll go get the doctor." She smiled, and started walking briskly out the door. "Wait…" Skylar said. "Where is Peter?" she asked. "I don't know. I am sure he is safe." she said. "Where… Is…. Peter??" Skylar said more forcefully. "I already told you, sweetheart, I don't know. Now, I'll go get the doctor. You and him could talk." "I SAID WHERE IS PETER? WHERE THE HELL IS HE?? YOU BETTER TELL ME RIGHT NOW, OR I WILL SNAP YOUR NECK!" she screamed, ripping off wires even though the pain was ripping at her and she felt like she was going to puke. The nurse paged the doctor, and he was in the room in less than 2 minutes with a syringe. Skylar was out of control, scratching the doctor and fighting off anybody that tried to hold her down. Finally, though, the doctor stabbed the syringe in her arm, and she instantly fell asleep, all struggling had stopped.

Ace was tired. It'd been a long day and the gaping hole in his chest was bleeding more than usual. He hoped that Macha hadn't noticed. Ace picked up a pair of guns that were engraved with skulls and weighed them in his hands. "I'll take these." he said.

@Natasha

Dani cringed and clutched her her as a searing white hot pain flooded her head. Skylar. She's in trouble! Or maybe she panicked and scared the doctors. Either way, she had to get to her. Fast. Of course, she couldn't leave without Macha. She stood up and looked anxiously toward the alleyway that she suspected that they had gone down. If Macha didn't come back in five minutes, she would have to take action. "Come on, Macha! Time is running out. Come back to the street before we're all killed!" she shouted mentally. She hoped that Macha heard her and wasn't dumb enough to think that Dani had threatened her. The Terror was waaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy worse than and R.A.C.'s that would threaten them. Come on come on COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!! She thought frantically. Peter doesn't have much time. We need to save himbefore it's to late! Again, she hoped that Macha would hear this warning and heed it.

@Natasha

Then Dani realized she had forgotten about Ace. He needed medical attention too. Hopefully he wouldn't try to hide it.

@blue_topaz

Macha heard a screaming in her head and felt an irresistible pull towards the street. Her head snapped up and, in a trance, she tugged on Ace's arm. "We need to go…", she slurred. She began to walk, dragging the bag of weapons behind her, and then took off like a shot, sprinting with all her might. Rhea and Ace followed behind, the latter yelling her name loudly as the brick door swung closed silently and ominously, sealing off the mysterious room of weapons once more. Macha stumbled through the alleyways until she found the right street, where a girl was waiting

(btw, the "girl" is Dani)

@Natasha

Dani looked up, relieved to see that Macha had heard her. "I'm really sorry if I hurt or scared you. I'm still getting the hang of my powers. She turned to Ace. "You need medical attention, but not at a hospital. Then she turned to Rhea. I think I can help you change back into a human, but I will have to address that subject later. Right now we need to focus on getting Peter and Skylar. Getting them out will be the easy part. Healing Peter though, well that will be the hard part. He could go into cardiac arrest at any given moment. Mean he is in critical condition. hopefully my medical training and weak healing powers will be enough. Are you guys good to fly?

@Natasha

(Weak healing powers meaning that Dani can only heal a little at a time, because it is a new power and it takes a lot out of her. She can heal Peter enough to bring him out of critical so that she can move him to another location.)

@Natasha

Dani frowned at Ace. "I think that I miss calculated. You need medical attention STAT. Here." She tossed him a small, brown glass bottle and a water bottle. "This will help the healing process start, but if you don't trust or believe me, I completely understand. I wouldn't trust a complete stranger either. But your dragon will have to take some so that she can fly you out of here with us. I nodded at Amber. "Will you be able to get there on your own though? Or are you still to weak?"

@Lenered

Ace crushed the glass bottle in his hands, "No thanks, I'm fine." he was angry. Angry that this girl actually thought she could heal him. And then the memories he'd tried to suppress for years hit him. It had started with a race. The annual Tarakona race. (His people were called Tarakona.) He'd rushed to his grandmother, who was a seer, and he took her hands. His grandmother was only able to see the biggest facet of the next day. Of course, she liked to play pranks on him by predicting a false future. "Grandmama!" seven year old Ace had said, "Do I win the race?" he'd been practicing all year for tomorrow. His grandmother closed her eyes and her hands began to glow. "I see…..I see….Death." Her face went pale and Ace's mother pulled Ace towards her. "Ace, grandmama is only joking." she placed his backpack onto his back and pushed him out the door to his school. He didn't give it much thought after that. Dinner passed by and Ace went to bed. But at 11:00 Ace crept out of his house and woke up Zodiac. "C'mon girl, we can get some hours in before tomorrow." he smiled. They soared into the sky and went as fast as they could until the sun was beginning to rise. As soon as Ace got home he knew something was wrong. There was no one in the streets. He crept into his parent's rooms, "Mama, Papa?" And then he saw them on the bedroom floor, lying in a sea of blood. He ran into his grandmothers room, tears flying down his face, "GRANDMAMA!" he yelled and he saw her lifeless body on the bed, her throat cut. Ace ran out of the house and began running into the other houses. The Margit family. Dead. His best friend Quill and his family. Dead. Every single one of the dragons except Zodiac. Dead. His aunt. Dead. Everyone. Dead. Ace burst into the chief's house, hoping, praying that someone was alive. But no one was. He pulled the sacred knife, the one made out of the bones of the first dragon, the one blessed with the power to always strike true, and plunged it into his chest. Death had been his only option. But as the fates would have it, he didn't die. Ace knew there was someone responsible and he knew that he could've died too and he knew that he would have to get away. So he did. And Ace'd been running ever since. He stared at the girl's surprised eyes, "I don't need your medicine and I also don't trust you. Also, I need answers." Ace pulled his knife out. "I would start talking if I were you."

@Natasha

"Okay! Okay. Just put the knife down and I will explain as much as I can." She motioned for them to sit down. She sat down and began her story. "Two years ago, my parents were killed in an 'accident'. She drew air quotes with her fingers." A bridge collapsed. More than two hundred people died." Her eyes watered as the memory of the destruction flooded back." I knew a lot of those people. An organization called Firefly recruited me to help stop the R.A.C.'s. It was relatively easy at first, hit and run missions, wipe their memories of R.A.C. and remind them of their families, but then we found out about The Terror. Ace,that is what killed the inhabitants of your village. I thought that maybe you would like to avenge your people. I am sorry that we didn't find out about it until later. But you need to trust me. I can tell you everything else,but first we need to get Peter and Skylar. Ace they're in pain! They're dying! I would thing that that matters to you at least a little bit. And if I have to, I will psychicly order you to comply. But I would rather let you do this on your own, so that you don't hate me later. Her voice was filled with worry and dread for what she might have to do to him. She hoped that the threat of losing some of his new friends,or aquaintences,or whatever, would be enough to snap him out of his rage. She new what he had gone through. she had gone through it too. She gave him her best glare, the one that got even Axyl to soften up, which was saying something. That man was as tough as Director Fury from the Avengers! (Dani is a bit of an Avengers fan.) She mentally crossed her fingers that it worked on Ace,too.

@Lenered

She was threatening him. And she mentioned his village. Ace's heart filled with a burning hatred and he closed his eyes to calm down. "If you ever talk about my village again, I will personally make sure that you die a slow and painful death." he knew that she thought that she knew what he was feeling. He also knew that even if she did try to psychically control him, she would die. Ace's wrist tattoo wasn't the only charm inscribed on his body. He pressed his wrist, calling Zodiac and she showed up with all of her wounds gone. "Girl-person-stranger, don't touch my dragon." Ace said to the girl, "Also, Macha, do you want to ride on Zodiac or Rhea?" he held out his hand to Macha and smiled.

@Lenered

As to the infuriating part, I didn't know what to do when you added that Dani knew about Ace's backstory, which I didn't want any of the characters to know and I wish you could've asked me first, but what's done is done.

@blue_topaz

Macha stared, shocked, at Ace’s outstretched hand, itching to ask about Ace’s medical condition, but something in his eyes told her to stop. It scared her, like a venomous snake coiling dangerously, menacingly. “Rhea.”, she said surely, mounting the Pegasus. She offered a hand to Dani. “Wanna ride her?”

@KalamariCakes

Peter scrambled up from the bed, terrified and tethered to wires from his wrists and torso. His bare feet stood uncomfortably on the cold solid tile, bones in his feet digging into it. He sank back to the floor with the pain of his wrapped wounds, gasping quietly, wh8mpering pathetically, he knew. Drool ran from his lips as he sputtered scared breaths, feeling no older than his youngest brother; just so much happening, he could hardly keep up. He wanted to go home. He wanted Skylar. His mom and brothers..
