(Okay)
This was his moment. Ace stared at her in shock. "I…I want to know how you knew my name. I want to know how you knew my dragon. And I want to know if there's anything else you know about me."
There she sat. Waiting. The clock ticking on the wall. Its constant rhythmic click was a comfort to her now she supposed. It meant she was still alive at least. How long had it been since her parents last visited her? A few weeks maybe. Perhaps they weren’t allowed to visit her. That would be a dream wouldn’t it?
The girl in the hospital bed sat there staring. Ana Smith had to be quite possibly one of the unluckiest people alive. Honestly, she was cursed. She wouldn’t give a reason why, not that anyone was there to listen if she did.
A small sigh escaped her lips as she sat up. Unable to be content with just laying on the bed for hours. This room, was a cage. The four walls always seemed to be pressing in on her. She couldn’t take it anymore!
With a sudden burst of courage she sat up on the bed. Her footsteps light, each step made her whole body tremble, weak from its lack of use.
Slowly she pushed open the door, peaking her head out into the hallway and seeing it empty she slipped out. It felt like she could breath again. Even if the air held that stagnat scent, always constant in every hospital. Ana let her feet guide her down the halls as she stumbled about. How long had it been since she’d been out of that room? She couldn’t remember exactly. Maybe it wasn’t even that long at all. Ana tensed as she saw a nurse coming her way. Unsure of what to do she quickly opened the door of a room and slammed it shut. Only to find herself in the presence of two other people.
“Uh..”
(Hope this was okay)
It was great!
Macha nodded, remembering. “When I found your name in the RAC hit list, I sent some gargoyles to steal your file, so that I knew what you liked like and could find you. The file had a detailed description of you on it, all no with an old picture of you when you were a kid. Linked to the file was a description of Zodiac.” She gripped Rhea’s mane tighter. “I found no account of ye village Dani just mentioned, only a brief statement saying that your family had been killed.”
Dani looked behind her and sighed. It was going to take forever for them to catch up to her. She reached her mind over the hospital, searching for where Skylar and Peter were. There was another girl in the room with them. Oh well. "Skylar!" She said in her mind. "I am going to lead you out of the hospital. Bring Peter and the other girl out of the hospital. All of the doctors and nurses will ignore you. I've already made sure of that. I need you to listen carefully." Dani landed gently on the ground and gave Skylar the directions for getting out of the hospital.
Skylar didn't know how, but she felt a tingling sensation in her mind telling her that she would make it out of the hospital. IN less than three seconds, she went from having no plan at all, to knowing exactly where she was supposed to go. "Come on. we need to get out of here." Skylar said, running over to Peter and ripping off all of the wires. "Now, you need to wait right here. I will be back. If anybody comes in, just say that all of the wires got tangled or something. Please, just wait here." She thought about the closet in the Nurse's room, and made sure that it was empty. Feeling the sudden jolt in her stomach, she knew that she was there. She opened her eyes, but in the pitch black she couldn't see anything. She somehow knew that the lights were motion detectors and she waved her hands all around. The lights snapped on, and Skylar looked around. There were blue clothes of all sizes that nurses had to wear, and she carefully took one off of the rack. She pulled one over her head, and looked into a mirror that was on the door. She nodded, this could really work. Closing her eyes one more time, she thought about room number 64. Thinking of Peter gave her a fuzzy feeling, but she didn't know why. Appearing back in room 64, She looked at Peter. He was staring wide-eyed at her. She smiled. "Look. Here is our plan. You are going to act like a patient, and I am going to act like a nurse. Obviously." She looked down at her clothes. "Then, I am going to sneak us into an empty ambulance, and drive away. I know where Macha and the others are. We'll meet them there. You on board?" He nodded, and she smiled. "Excellent. Let's go."
Skylar opened the door to the room and looked around nervously. Nobody was around, so she pushed the bed through the doorway and down the hallway to the elevators. A girl opened the door to the room next to her, and tensed. "uh.." She said nervously, turning back around to go in. Skylar knew she had to take her with them. "come on, I'm getting you out of here. I'm not really a nurse." Skylar explained. The girl followed them without question, and they all crammed in the elevator. She pressed the main floor button, and they were down there in a minute. squeezing him out the door, she realized that there was, yet again, nobody down there at all. 'Huh." she said, confused but delighted. "There's nobody around." she pushed Peter all the way through the front door and over to the ambulance garage. Picking the closest one, she Climbed in and noticed that the key was already in. Peter got up and climbed in the other side, leaving the bed out there. Skylar sighed. "Ready?" She asked, adrenaline making her heart beat. The girl had got in the other part, where the patients normally would go. "Peter looked over at her, thrilled. "Ready as I'll ever be." He smiled. "Good. Now Buckle up, we're going fast."
(Sorry Natasha, I just thought that this was a good idea. If it isn't I can always change it.)
(No it's perfect. I couldn't think up any directions and hoped that you would make them up.)
She nearly freaked out at the sight of a nurse. Oh gosh she was caught already! Then she’d get into trouble and just be locked up in that hospital room forever. The fear flashed in her eyes before it ebbed away into caution. “M-Me…?” She asked, her voice squeaking slightly. That was embarassing. Ana could only nod. She wasn’t going to risk upsetting her. No telling what either of them would do. She can’t hesitate. This is what she wanted right? Still everything just seemed…ya know TOO easy. She had a bad feeling in her stomach. It twisted in knots, the walls seeming to close in. Her eyes would flick around the halls. However, she’d keep her thoughts to herself. They probably don’t want to hear someone like her whine and complain. She hoped into the ambulance without complaint. Still looking around. “Uh…do you even know how to drive this thing?” Shouldn’t be too different from a car right? Well Ana wouldn’t know considering she doesn’t have her license either. She was getting out. She was breaking free, from what though? She wasn’t entirely sure, but part of her felt like this was the beginning of something new for her.
Peter's expression harbored adrenaline and giddiness, "Thank you, Skylar," he breathed, his voice shaking slightly with his rush of emotions. Nothing else in the vehicle- or outside it either- seemed as rapturing as his rescuer.
(Hi guys! First of all I wanted to tell you all this is an amazing story! I was also wondering if I could join in with a villain/morally ambiguous character? His name is Blake Thorfin. He's around six feet tall, and has tan skin, blond hair, pure white wings, but no magic powers. If you feel as though you already have enough people in this role play I totally understand! You're all great writers!)
(I think you could join. It might work a little better if you played Dani's uncle. I haven't described him yet so your character would work perfectly. If you want. If you do, just to give you an insight on her uncle, he is a psicopath who loves setting things on fire and does not care about anyone. If you don't like this, you could be his prodigy or sidekick or something. Or his boss. Whatever works for you. Is that okay with you @TopazWyrmlet~ ?
@TiredOtter go ahead with Blake, and welcome! @Natasha, maybe having them play one of your characters wouldn’t work out so well, and this is a Roleplay for your OWN characters. I know you meant no harm, but if someone joins they are free to use their own characters however they want. A good idea in theory, though)
(And thank you!)
( okay :) I understand)
Blake woke up and stretched his wings in the infirmary of the RAC Seattle Training Barracks. Instantly a nurse rushed over to him, fussing over wounds he couldn't remember getting. "What…" He took a moment to compose himself and cleared his throat. "…what happened?" He winced as the young woman began to handle his wings. They were singed and bloody.
"There was another magic riot downtown. You don't remember?" She scribbled something down on a clipboard with a concerned look.
"Where's my unit?" He spoke gruffly, muscles tensing up. Blake started to gain his bearings. He was no longer in his uniform. Instead he was in a hospital gown. Memories slowly began to trickle into the back of his head. There was the dragon. He was going in for the kill. Flying at breakneck speed to stab at its eyes and take down the disgusting beast. Blake could almost taste the glory, the riches that'd come with such a trophy. Then it saw him and whipped its tail. The hit struck him in the side, sending him spiraling downward, almost completely avoiding the blast of flames that followed. There was screaming and pain. The metallic taste of blood filling his mouth as he watched one of his best friends slay a fire mage in the street.
"Mr. Thorfin?" The nurse was waving her hand in front of his face. He batted it away in annoyance, his features contorting into a snarl.
"Get me to my commander. Tell him it's a soldier from Unit 11. I want to be employed in the hospital check." He barked the order, his cold blue eyes narrowing.
"Mr. Thorfin, I can't allow you to get up. Your condition is highly unstable. Several broken ribs, burn wounds, severe lacerations, and possible brain trauma." The nurse replied calmly, laying a cool hand on his forehead. "Fever too." She added, biting her lip with concern. Before Blake could argue, she injected a blue liquid into his forearm, making his eyelids feel heavier after seconds. He fell asleep seconds later, his hands clenched into fists.
(Hope this is okay for everyone! If anything doesn't fit I don't mind changing anything!)
(Oooooohh, I like it!)
Her eyes flicked to the windows outside the ambulance. Weird. These were complete strangers and she just, ran off with them. Ana wrpaped her arms around herself. She felt like she didn’t really belong. An outsider, dragged along in hopes to keep them quiet. Ana’s eyes flicked to Peter, then to Skylar. She opened her mouth to say something. But nothing came out, only silence.
@TiredOtter, I loved it!
(Thanks!)
(Great job everyobe)
