"Alright," Ember said, nodding. The swelling in his lip was getting worse, and it was affecting the sound of his voice. He started to make his way to the kitchen to prepare sandwiches.
"Alright," Ember said, nodding. The swelling in his lip was getting worse, and it was affecting the sound of his voice. He started to make his way to the kitchen to prepare sandwiches.
Aspen mopped the floor sullenly, lost in thought. He didn't care all that much that the machine was broken; a customer and a friend had been hurt, and that was what he needed to worry about. But where was he gonna get the money to afford a new coffee machine? Especially before shift change, and when the whole shoppe was focused around coffee…
In his obsessive overthinking, he had stopped mopping and simply stood there, swaying slightly, tail mopping the floor more than he was. Did he make the wrong decision, letting people close? Was that why business was suffering?
Ember made the sandwiches as quickly as he could, since people were starting come in. Looking over his shoulder, he noticed that Aspen seemed to be lost in thought. "Hey Asfin, you okay?" He askeds, ilently cursing himself for pronouncing his name like "Ass Fin"
(In a past comment Oyoyo gave you the money to replace the coffee machine)
Oyoyo wondered if she should go back to the shop and apologize again. She also had to know if Aspen would tell her she wasn’t allowed to work there anymore. She wondered if he still wanted to be friends. What scared her was that he might not want to be friends anymore.
(oof
we can say the customer lady stole it, she's gonna blow soon)
"H-what? Was I…?" Aspen began, confused. "You just… My ass… Umm… Jay- I- um…"
(I'm wheezing omg)
Ember turned bright red with embarrassment. "N-no! that's not- I was just trying to say your name… I just-my lips.. I… I wasn't trying to say anything about your ass!" He said. Then he turned away and covered his face with his hands. "Dammit."
"My… Oh!! Sorry," Aspen replied, blushing slightly. "God. I've been single wayyy too long."
"S-sorry," Ember muttered, his face bright red. His hands were shaking a bit. "I'll be right back," He said, almost sprinting to the men's room.
Aspen buried his face in his paws and returned to disposing of the emaciated machine.
Ember paced back and forth across the floor, his heart pounding. "Calm down, calm down, calm down…" He said to himself. It was just an awkward encounter it was nothing to panic about.
His panicking got even worse when he saw an angry woman covered in coffee stains emerge from a bathroom stall. He had accidentally entered the women's room again.
"What the hell!!" the woman shrieked, brushing at her shirt. "You people are insane!! I never want to set foot in this place again!!" She burst out of the bathroom door and made her way furiously to Aspen. "And you, you sorry-arse-birch!! (lol) It shouldn't even be legal for a pesky, flea-ridden dog to run a cafe!! And for that, thank you for those two hundreds on the counter behind you. It'll be just enough to convince me not to sue your sorry arse." She plucked the bills off the counter, Aspen helpless to do anything, and stormed angrily out of the building.
(i just noticed this is your pic Connor!?)
(wym?)
Ember's breathing started to get irregular, and tears were rolling down his cheeks. "Calm down," he said, his voice breaking. He needed to get out, but where could he go? His father was hunting him down, he had just been kicked out of his apartment… the coffee shop was his only safe place, and it didn't feel safe anymore.
(lol I just gave him a backstory hope you don't mind)
(is that shmexy beast in your pic connor murphy? dear-evan-hansen.wikia.com/wiki/Connor_Murphy

Oyoyo once again went back to the cafe. She walked in and said’ “Hey, I’m sorry. It’s probably best that I don’t work here anyway.” She folded her apron and set it on the counter.
"No, Oyoyo, please!! Please stay! It's alright, I-" Aspen began. He'd just recently been able to finally let people in, and now everyone was leaving. What did he do wrong? "I'm sorry…" He teared up and accepted her apron. "I'm so sorry."
“It’s not your fault! It’s mine! I’m a complete failure! The only place I will ever belong is in a battle arena!”, she yelled. A single tear dropped down her face.
"Oyoyo, look at me." Aspen grabbed her head and turned it back to him, making her look him in the eyes. "You are not a failure. That machine was as old as me, and you belong here. Don't ever tell yourself any different."
“Belong here?”, she asked. “You think? I’m just going to mess up again. I’m made to destroy things.”
