(it's okay lol, he a strong boi)
He ran his hands through his hair, trying to catch his breath, all of his thoughts crashing down on him. He was useless. His father said so. With his fists. It had happened this morning. He could feel the pain in his ribs every time his lungs expanded.
After a few minutes passed, Ember's sadness turned to anger. Why should he fall apart just because of his father and girlfriend? Why should he be ashamed of his gender? And why should he keep something so important from his friends?
He got up, determined but still shaking, and stormed through the doors of the cafe.
"Well welcome back, Ember!" Aspen announced cheerfully before sensing his anger. "You alright, dude?"
(I'm here with plot ideas to induce more conflict :3) (And EMBER'S TRANS? YEET EVEN MORE LGBT THIS IS GREAT)
(we should just call this pride rp)
(also where did beastie/jay go? The plot needs him :0)
(idk, he's been gone for awhile i miss the boii)
Oyoyo noticed the anger on Ember’s face. “You look like you need a good fistfight bro. I’ll fight you if you want.”, she said cheerfully.
Ember laughed. "Thanks. But I need a hug," he said stubbornly. "Like, just a hug from anybody. I literally haven't been hugged since I came out as trans to my family, and that was four years ago."
Aspen vaulted over the counter and into Ember's arms. "Aww, you poor thing!! I'm sorry if I offended you…"
"What?? No, you didn't!" He said, hugging Aspen tightly and savoring it. He'd been touch starved for too long. He sighed, pushing away from him gently. "But I have something to tell you guys… and I don't know if you'll look at me the same."
“Don’t worry, in fact there’s something I should probably tell you guys.”
"What's up?" Ember asked, suddenly concerned about Oyoyo.
She took a deep breath. “You tell us your secret first, and I’ll tell mine.”
"U-um… you can go first?" He said, back to being nervous.
“Oh…um…you sure?”, she asked. “You guys will probably hate me for this.”
"I highly doubt that," Aspen replied, crossing his arms.
"I couldn't hate you for anything!" Ember said, looking straight at her. Then, he turned bright red, and looked away.
Oyoyo blushes. Then she grew more serious. “I used to fight in a battle arena. I killed people for a living.” Oyoyo’s hands turned to fists and her tone started to rise. “I was a monster! I liked to kill others! All I cared about was winning! Then I met someone who changed me. Before he died from my own weapon, he said I could be more then the government’s pet monster.”
"Well, you're not." Aspen hugged his friend tightly. "Don't let your past define you, remember?"
“I’m still a monster.”, she said softly. “I still love to hurt people. I wish I wasn’t myself.” She was torn and conflicted.
"I don't think that's such a bad thing, really." Jay's beat-up muzzle walked into the door and leaned against the frame. "Life isn't quite so fun and adventurous as the days of our ancestors. Can't have a good battle to the death anymore without the living being held responsible. Hi Oyoyo." There was a small bit of blood on his lip and his eye was a tad swollen, but otherwise he seemed alright. "Hey, Aspen." he nodded to the fur, looking away with an ashamed blush on his face. "Glad to see you're still around."
(Sorry I've been meh lately so I buggered off lol thanks)
(YOURE BACKKKK)
"Oh my God, Jay!! Where have you been? Are you alright? Honey, I- I mean, Ummm…" Aspen hugged Jay warmly then slapped him hard across the muzzle. "You asshole."
