Ember laughed and leaned back. "I know the feeling. Things are pretty chaotic right now."
Ember laughed and leaned back. "I know the feeling. Things are pretty chaotic right now."
"Yeah, my bad…"
He waved a hand dismissively. "It's all good. I mean, at least you get to relax now." Ember found that he felt surprisingly comfortable.
"For real, though!" Aspen ranted, feeling completely at ease with everyone present. "God, they'll never understand…"
"Understand what?" Ember asked curiously. He then realized that it might've been a personal question to ask. "I-I mean, if you're okay with telling me. It's cool if you don't want to talk about it though."
Aspen laughed a little to himself before replying with hake enthusiasm. "I'm…. GAYYY!!!"
Ember choked on his coffee a little bit. That's definitely not something he heard very often where he came from. "You're gay?" He repeated, before pausing. "Me too? I think?"
Oyoyo thought she noticed Aspen's mom leaving the coffee shop from her house across the street. She thought the drama must be over, since Sarah had left. Just to be sure, she decided to give Aspen a call. She wondered what she would say when he got on the phone. She just wanted to settle all the drama.
(You have returned :D)
(yay you're back!!)
"Cool!" Aspen started, only to be interrupted by his phone. "Um… hold on. Hello?"
Ember turned away awkwardly, trying not to listen. He needed to get back home soon anyway. His "girlfriend" was waiting for him.
Aspen pulled the phone away momentarily and motion to Ember. "You're stuck with us sociopaths now. What do you want for dinner?"
"Dinner? Actually- I uh… have to get home. My girlfriend has a curfew for me, she gets really mad if I'm late… I don't want to make her mad." He finished his coffee and fidgeted a bit.
"Is the drama solved yet?", Oyoyo asked into the phone. "Yeah, we need to talk. Also, just warning you, but I'm kinda in the mood to light someone on fire right now."
"Oh, well… Good luck then, and you're always welcome here." Aspen returned his attention to Oyoyo. "Please, light my ass on fire. It's over; whatcha need?"
"Why did you lie that Jay and I were married! You could have said anything else, but NO you had to say that! Plus why can't you just tell your parents the truth!?", Oyoyo yelled into the phone.
Ember flinched when he heard yelling through the phone, flattening his ears. Somebody seemed mad.
"I- I… I just- Listen, I…" Aspen had no idea how to explain the years of heartbreak, neglect, abuse, rejection, and abandonment he had endured, and no idea how to apologize again for it. 'I'm sorry. Just- I don't know, okay?"
(lol byeee)
(see ya)
(good morning all y'all lovelies ^-^)
(Good morning)
"Why don't we talk in person?" Oyoyo hung up the phone. She walked over to the coffee shop. "Hi!", she said to everyone in the coffee shop. "First of all, Jay is going to explain why he got shot. Then, Aspen is going to tell us why he lied to his parents."
(is Beastie here?)
(For now, sorry, I was busy at work and just got home)
(yay hello!! your turn)
Jay waved nervously at Oyoyo, "But I don't know this guy," before surrendering. Not like it mattered anymore. "Don't blab or I'll shoot you," he pouted, before explaining. "I guess Aspen deserves a full explanation. I was leaving work the other night to come get Aspen, one of my bros grabbed me and said they needed me to deal with something. I told him no but then he just grabbed me anyways, and it was a heckin' shootout and I DIDN'T get shot in the arm! The bullet broke a window and the glass got all up in my arm sh** and I almost bled out. Happy now?" Sulking as he said it.
