(i’m not too sure. maybe when Nick and Rejina bump into Jem?)
“Then we should probably get going. Brooklyn’s a large city.” Nick said, opening the apartment door and gesturing for Rejina to follow him.
Slowly, Rejina managed to walk without feeling lightheaded. Her pace picked up once the feeling vanished.
(hi yes you can join. and that was a great papargraph!!)
Thanks Em! And sorry I didn't reply sooner, I didn't see this until now lol
Lea strolled down the sidewalk, eyes focused on the pebble she was kicking in front of her, just barely dodging passerbys. She was headed towards her new apartment, all of her things were already there, she just needed a little taste of home before beginning unpacking. Luckily, Starbucks in New York were almost as common as they were in Seattle, so she was totally ready.
Tick limped down the street, a sports bag slung cross-body on her. She licked up some blood that dribbled near her lips. She felt satisfied, knowing she had gotten what she needed. She hummed the tune to Billie Eilish's "Bury a Friend" with a small smile that made people avoid her completely, the crowds of the streets parting for her as she kept her head down.
(pmg i love that song)
Nick led Rejina out of the apartment complex and into the busy streets of New York. "She should be here somewhere. Brooklyn's not that big," he said, stuffing his hands into his pockets.
Tick wandered down the streets, looking around for the apartment, but she had never been in the city, so she was a bit turned around.

Nick led Rejina out of the apartment complex and into the busy streets of New York. "She should be here somewhere. Brooklyn's not that big," he said, stuffing his hands into his pockets.
"Says the native," she mumbled, sticking close to him.
With Lea not paying attention, of course, eventually, she ran into two figures (Nick and Rejina). Her eyes immediately snapped up from the ground. "Oh, I'm sorry," she apologized. She sniffed the air. One of them was definitely an outsider to New York. Her eyebrow quirk in question at the two people, but she didn't say anything. Just looked at them.
Nick smiled and shrugged in response to Rejina before running into someone. The smell of Outsider hit his nose, and he internally groaned. How many can I run into in one day? “It’s fine.” he said, raising an eyebrow in return. Why wasn’t she moving?
Rejina narrowed her eyes. "Who are you?" she demanded. Do NOT get a second concussion, Rejina…

Screw it.
Lea extended a hand. "Lea Kalington. From Seattle. What about you?" She asked.
Rejina eyed her warily. "Rejina Andrews – Chicago."
Lea retracted her hand. "Sorry, again." She still stood in place, watching the pair suspiciously.
"Why don't you move along," Rejina suggested, biting venom out of her voice.
Tick spotted a park crowded with trees. She was instinctively drawn to it, reminded of her home. She looked around quickly before swinging herself up into the tree.
Lea shoved the hand that wasn't holding coffee into her pocket. "That's a little rude, no? Besides, I don't have to get where I'm going quickly. I'm sure you have something better to do than stand here." She didn't want to fight them, she was just curious what a native and someone from Chicago where doing together and where they were going.
Tick swung her legs as she watched the world pass beneath her feet. This wasn't a bad tree for the city. Her stomach growled though.
"Yes, we do, and if you don't mind we'll be going," Nick gripped Rejina's arm tightly and pulled her away from the other girl, heading towards the park. Something about the other Outsider gave him bad vibes; he couldn't quite place it.
"Hey–" Rejina protested for a second, then sighed reluctantly. "Four more seconds, and I would've had her."
Lea turned and watched them walk away towards the park. A few other people walking on the street glared at her loitering, but she ignored them and took a sip of her coffee, finishing it off and then throwing it away. Once the pair had gotten far enough away, Lea started following them We shouldn't be doing this, Lea. You're a dumbass, her brain told her. Shut up, brain, she replied. I'm literally you. You're arguing with yourself, her brain told her, seemingly annoyed. Yeah, well screw you. I'm curious and I'm gonna go follow them.
(Sorry I haven't been on much, I hope this makes up for that)
Jen glares down at the guy he was sitting on top of, his eyes glinting sharply in the light with a superior look on his face. He had the guy's arm twisted in an uncomfortable position and by the looks of it, the guy was in a lot of pain. "Let go motherfucker!!" Jen, in one swift motion applies a dangerous amount of pressure, making the bone in the guy's shoulder crack with a sickening sound. Jen just watches the guy as he lets out an ear piercing scream, then almost instantly passes out from the pain. Only then does Jen release his arm and gets up, looking at the other three guys on the ground. They weren't dead. Just knocked out. Jen didn't like seeing dead bodies, they made him sick to the point where he wanted to gag and throw up. He looks over at his little sister with a dull tired expression burning his eyes, he wipes the thick blood from his nose lazily with his fingerless gloves that worked like hand and arm warmers since they went up to his elbows. He used them since he hadn't bothered to buy a jacket yet and was the type of person to get cold easily- even in the summer. He walks over to her. "Sorry, I know it hasn't been the best day so far. Especially since today is supposed to be your birthday." He chuckles as he crouches down to her level and rests his hand on her head. "You're finally turning ten Aster." She beams at him. "It's alright, I'm pretty chill with that" she says casually. Aster didn't act like your typical ten year old little girl. She was more of a tomboy since she had spent all her time playing with Jen (sports, video games, skateboarding, etc.), she had also picked up on the type of language he used. It was almost comical to Jen. "Are you gonna do anything about the cuts or?…" Jen looked at his arm, which had been stabbed in the process of taking down the gang of guys. He had scratches and bruises on his skin. Maybe even some dried blood here and there on his clothes. For the time being he just tied a makeshift bandage on his wound, though it didn't look like it would last long since a bit of blood was already seeping through it. "Yeah, once we get somewhere safe. I won't be able to carry you right now since I'm all roughed up so you're gonna have to stay close to me, alright? And when I say-" She cuts him off. "Run, I run. I know, you've told me a lot of times already" Jen purses his lips. "Just making sure" he says as he grabs the bag he had brought with them and swings it on his shoulder, he grits his teeth in pain from the weight applied to his back. He was aching all over from both the lack of sleep and the over exertion he had pulled just a few moments ago.
Nick rolled his eyes and let go of her arm, stuffing them in his coat. "You don't need another fight, Rejina," Lord knows what that would do for her concussion. He walked in silence for a few moments before he heard a scream, which surprisingly wasn't that uncommon. "What was that?"
Rejina's eyes glittered. "Oh, sounds painful… Wanna check it out? Maybe Tick's there."
