"I do indeed that's why I said it," Lea countered. "I don't know I saw a man fall off the top of an apartment building onto a closed dumpster, then run into the road, where he got hit by a car, then proceeded to get up and walk to the sidewalk and collapse, hitting his head on a metal bench. All he had was a broken rib, a sprained ankle, and a bruise on his head." She shrugged.
"That's impossible," Rejina argued. "Just the fall alone is enough to kill someone."
She shrugged. "I'm not gonna argue with you. It may have been a fever dream or my brain could be exaggerating the memory. It's very common for brains to do that."
Tick suddenly coughed, spitting up red liquid as she gasped for air.
Rejina jerked to look at Tick. Her head erupted in sharp pain, but she ignored it. "Tick!?"
Tick coughed up a few more splatters of blood before stopping, gasping out. She went still and quiet again, breathing becoming a bit more unsteady.
"Tick?" Rejina repeated, looking frantically over her face. "Tick, wake up. Talk to me, c'mon…"
Tick groaned out some garbled sentence. Something about "all gone" and "better off dead".
(Can I just say that Xena was out hunting?)
(Stark, you're going to have to wait for Em to give the okay on that! Letting you know!)
"No, shut up! You're not going to die, and you're better off alive, so help me!" Rejina replied, wiping Tick's spattered blood off of her face.
"Hey, suggestion, we get her to a hospital maybe? Unless she doesn't have a permit to be here, I don't see the problem in that," Lea suggested.
"That, I'm not sure of," Rejina replied. "C'mon, Tick!"
Tick opened her eyes slowly, panting heavily as she came out of unconsciousness. Her eyes were out of focus and her skin was cold.
(yea that's fine, and sorry i haven't been on much :/ )
Nick rubbed a hand over his face. This is bad. Really bad. "Tick doesn't have a permit. I tried to get her one earlier, but she insisted that I didn't." A slight frown appeared on his face. I could call somebody…
Xena came back with a bag filled with basic Supplies.
The corner of Tick's mouth pooled with blood as she choked out, "My bag. My bag. My bag…" Again and again, not seeming to know what she was saying.
“Your bag?” Nick said, glancing around for the object. Why would she want that now? He reached over and picked it up, bringing it to Tick. “Tick? What’s in it?”
"Give it to me," Rejina stated, holding her hand out expectantly.
Tick reached out for the bag, mumbling, "No. Mine. Don't look. Mine…"
Rejina took the bag from Nick's hands and handed it to Tick without looking inside. "Here."
Tick hugged it to her chest and closed her eyes, rolling over so her back was towards them, mumbling incoherently.
Xena walked inside to see them standing over Tick "what's going on?" She asked
(Is that ok?)
"Tick?" Rejina asked worriedly. Her head was throbbing. She looked up to see Xena. "We don't know."
Nick glared at Rejina, then turned to Tick, speaking gently. "Tick? What's in the bag?"
Tick just shot Nick a frightened look and hugged her bag tighter, curling up. She then coughed again, blood tainting her mouth.
