Tick was gone. She had grabbed the edge at the last possible moment and swung herself down onto a window ledge. She scrambled down the bricks and ran down the alley.
Nick almost jumped over the bar and went after her, but restrained himself. If she didn't want to stay, then she didn't want to stay. "Tick!" he yelled, eyes searching for her form.
Tick looked up and saw Nick's frantic face. She yelled up, "I'LL BE BACK IF I DON'T GET ARRESTED!!" Then she bolted off, not wanting anyone to follow her. 'Cause she was about to do something, very stupid.
Nick paled. Arrested? Was she going to do something dumb? I shouldn't care. I don't care. Walking back to the room, he sat beside Rejina, putting his head in his hands.
Rejina raised her eyebrows and looked at him. "Hi."
“Hey,” Nick said, giving her a cheeky smile. Whatever just happened did not happen. Tick didn’t just jump over the balcony, and is about to do something incredibly dumb. It’s just me, Rejina, and Xena.
She smiled back and laughed a little. "What did I miss?"
Tick was running through rows and rows of backroads, so different from the backwoods she was used to. She kept glancing at house numbers as she ran past, people's heads turning at the smell of her, eyes narrowing and mothers pulling children closer. Once, she even saw a guy reaching for his cell and holding it as he made sure she kept going.
Xena sighed "tell what's going on Nick. And no. You cant lie to me."
"Tick just jumped off my balcony and I'm pretty sure she's doing something dumb," Nick said with a grin. Then he turned to Xena, leaning back on the couch. " Xena, they're just my friends."
Rejina waved at the girl he called Xena. "Hey."
(yooo guys please tell me this is not dead. The concept is so cool and I would love to join but looks like yall stopped a while ago)
(Oh, hey! Yeah, Em hasn't been on a whole lot lately b/c of personal reasons, so I dunno.)

(oh hi! yes, you can join! and camie, i don’t think that stark will respond soon, so we can just carry on without them.)
(Hi! Can I join?)
(yes you can!)
(oh hi! yes, you can join! and camie, i don’t think that stark will respond soon, so we can just carry on without them.)
(So, what should I say? Where do you want to pick up from?)

(Alright!)
Rejina pressed a hand to her head and mumbled, "Yay" beneath her palm.
Nick rubbed a hand on her back comfortingly. “I’m sure it’s not that bad,” he said with a small smile.
She looked at him with tired eyes. "Why are you being so nice to me?"
Nick shrugged and looked away. “I like being nice. Plus, looks like you need it. Being beat up by a bunch of guys in New York isn’t exactly the thing to do in one of your first days here,”
