(Yep. This is Rachel now.)
Richard backed off scowling at her. He retreated away to take care of his problem. This is the only way, he thought to himself.
Leon let out a sigh of relief as he leaned against the wall trying to catch his breath.
"There it is!" He looked up to see his treehouse, a few trees away from where they were standing. "I should probably drop this off, shouldn't I?" He bolted to the tree, up the ladder, dropped his bag, and came back down, returning to her side.
They entered the village together, and a few elves were wandering about. One was making a sword, but some enchantment seemed to have silenced the noise to anyone outside.
They looked like normal people, but he already felt like an outcast. Would they accept him? He wasn't completely sure and, frankly, was pretty nervous.
(Yep. This is Rachel now.)
Richard backed off scowling at her. He retreated away to take care of his problem. This is the only way, he thought to himself.
Leon let out a sigh of relief as he leaned against the wall trying to catch his breath.
Delilah ran up to him and put a hand on his shoulder, "Are you okay?"
Jack cleared his throat, "Ah, hello Mrs. (Insert last name here cause I forgot it.)"
(Turner, thank you.)
"Hello Jack. Paige. Have I… interrupted something?" Her eyes knew well what she was 'interrupting', Paige could see it.
Leon nodded as he wiped at his bloody nose, "I'm fine."
Jack knew she knew what she interrupted. He shrugged, "I don't know. Are you Mrs. Turner?"
"No, she hasn't," Paige responded, not looking at either of them.
Mrs. Turner pressed her lips together in a thin line. "Well, Paige, come with me please."
"I'm eating lunch," Paige mumbled.
"What was that? Enunciate!"
"Nothing," Paige said, blushing. Nearby tables were staring and whispering. Not like that affected her mother.
"Good. Come with me then please."
"Don't be so uptight. They can sense it." Caire walked deeper into the little village, greeting by several animals including a pony, a mastiff, a wolf, a young griffon, and several birds.
"Force of habit. Sorry, but social anxiety does that to a person. A village full of new people that are of a completely different race? Bound to stir up some nerves."
Jack watched as the pair converse. He took Paige's hand, "What do you need to speak about in private? Did you mean to get everyone's attention like an attention hog you are? Oh sorry pardon my French Mrs. Turner."
"I know, but they won't hurt you unless given a good reason. Just relax." Caire stroked the wolf's head.
"You don't look fine, maybe we should take you too the nurse or at least get you cleaned up,"
He did a few breathing exercises and relaxed, smiling a little as to not look like a serial killer.
Leon sighed as he nodded tiredly, "Yeah. Do whatever."
The wolf trotted over to Brendon and sniffed him curiously, yipping softly and rubbing his head against his hand as though wanting to be pet.
He jumped a little but relaxed, softly petting the wolf's head. He loved dogs and most creatures in general.
"Are you okay emotionally?" Delilah laughed at his snarky comment, "Who even was that?"
Leon chuckled a little, "I'm never fine emotionally. Anyway that was Richard, school quarterback and my fucking stalker."
"You'll encounter a lot of creatures that humans typically see as wild here. Elves live in harmony with them; even creatures generally deemed 'dangerous' such as wolves and griffons."
"No, I wasn't scared. He just surprised me. Or she. I don't assume gender."
Jack watched as the pair converse. He took Paige's hand, "What do you need to speak about in private? Did you mean to get everyone's attention like an attention hog you are? Oh sorry pardon my French Mrs. Turner."
Mrs. Turner stiffened. "That is for me and my daughter to talk about. Come on, Paige."
Leon chuckled a little, "I'm never fine emotionally. Anyway that was Richard, school quarterback and my fucking stalker."
(Delilah: Cries. I was a quarterback in another life)
"Oh, I didn't even recognize him, I guess he's different from the last time we… uhh.. I saw him,"
"He." Caire nodded. "I call him Lupus. And his sister-" Another slightly smaller wold came forward. "-is called Luna."
Jack looked to Paige, "Do you want to go?"
(Lol)
Leon sighed, "Yeah. He's…. Different around me."
"Oh. Then hello Lupis. Hello Luna. Nice to meet you." What the hell are you doing? Seriously you are talking to a wolf.
