Penny followed, catching up to Will. "Wait! I know my way around this place, I might be able to help!" she said.
Meanwhile, Alison was walking down a corridor when a patrol of Cybermen came around the corner. Alison hid behind a conveniently placed statue, holding her breath as the metal men passed. When she was sure they were gone, she continued her search.
Will nods, "That would be appreciated."
"Where do you need to go?" she asked.
"Power core." Will answers.
"It's in the throne room. Father would sometimes take me to see it, but it's rather dangerous, the radiation will kill you if you stay in too long." Penny said.
He nods, "Noted. Mind showing me?"
"It's not far, this way!" she said, running down the hallway.
Will follows her quickly, glancing around nervously.
They entered the throne room. It was completely wrecked. "Through here." Penny said, opening a trapdoor with a key around her neck.
He nods and follows her, watching their backs as he does so. "It's a mess in here." he says quietly.
"Yes, I remember when it wasn't. I would sit in here and read a book while Father was discussing things with nobles and ambassadors from other planets." she said.
He nods. "And then?" He walks beside her, lighting his palm with light.
"Well, that was when I was four. Shortly after, an experiment gone wrong made the metal men take over." Penny explained. "Father told us to go and was killed, and Mother died shortly afterwards from being wounded in the battle."
He nods, "I'm sorry." He looks around. "My mom lives in Texas while I live in New York, and my dad… he's never around. The only time he decided to show up was when Zeus turned him human and set him on the camp." He rolls his eyes.
"What's a Texas? And do you mean New New New New York?" Penny asked.
"No… just New York… When we get to Earth I'll show you." he says cheerfully.
"We are on Earth. New Earth, I mean." Penny said. "Why do you talk so strangely?"
"New earth…?" He asks softly. "W-what do you mean…? I…" He stumbles slightly, holding his head. "No…"
"Camp Halfblood… Wait… I'm getting ahead of myself. Let's just get this over with." He takes a breath.
"Yeah, come on. Just through here." she said, opening the door to the power core, which smelt of burning metal and shone a blinding blue light upon them.
He nods and gets to work, breathing pleads with the gods as he curls a ball of light in his hand.
"What are you doing?" Penny asked. She looked around. "Are you sure this is safe?"
Alison found her way up into the ventilation system. "Damn. I suppose I have no choice but to call in for some advice." she muttered, taking out her mobile and dialing the TARDIS phone number, which not many people knew. Through hysterical laughter, a message followed: "H-h-hello, you've reach th-the good ship TARDIS. Leave a message after the beep and we'll try to get back to y-y-you before you called-stop that!" the Doctor's voice said from the phone. After a short beeping noise, Alison said, "Listen, the Doctor has been taken by Cybermen, and they say they're going to upload his brain or something. Anyways, I need some advice as to how I'm going to fight back, so if you'd answer the bloody phone that might help!"
Will looks at her, "I'm making a bomb."
"But that will kill us! Besides, even though this might take longer, if we set out a carefully calculated EMP pulse, it would stop the Cybermen dead in their tracks." Penny said.
"Ah, my dear Miss Cheney, how may I be of service?" a voice answered. "Well, first of all, how do you kill a Cyberman? Second, the Doctor's been taken by Cybermen and they're going to…. well they said upload his brain but I don't kno-" she was cut off. "Miss Cheney, you must get out of there. Get back to the TARDIS. You can't help the Doctor, we're all doomed if they're really going to upload him." the Master said. "I'm not just going to leave him! Now tell me, how the hell do you kill one of those Cybermen?" she asked angrily. "My dear, you do not understand the mortal danger you are in. If you value your life, get back to the TARDIS. The Doctor is beyond help now and I can't-" the android's voice was cut off when Alison hung up. "Thanks for nothing, you useless robot." she muttered, crawling down the ventilation pipes.
