Will nods. "Good idea."
Will nods. "Good idea."
Alison walked down the hallway, looking for familiar doors or anything that could lead them back to the control room.
Will does the same, walking beside her since he didn't want to get separated from her again.
Alison found a door that she thought looked familiar and opened it. She stepped through it, or almost did as through it was nothing but a deep, dark pit, probably stretching down for miles. "Ahh!" she yelped as she nearly fell. As soon as she regained her balance, which was rather quickly, she stepped away and slammed the door shut. "Why in heaven and hell's name would there be a deathtrap in the TARDIS? That's just insane!"
Will looks at her with wide eyes, "I dunno, but this is starting to freak me out." he mutters, his eyes darting around.
"I think she doesn't like me. Or you. Either one of us. Or both." Alison said.
"Probably both." He says, looking around with wide, nervous eyes.
"Wait, blue doors…. sign….. I think I've found the way out." Alison said, pointing at another door.
"Thank the gods. Let's go." Will says, looking towards Alison.
Alison stepped through the door… and saw her and Will exiting the control room, just as the Doctor turned around to see who had entered. "Ah, didn't you just leave? Or did the Master mess with the TARDIS settings again…. of course he did. Well, good to see you here either way, I have to repair the engines and I'm in need of an extra pair of hands." he said in a cheerful tone, or at least an attempt at one.
Will looks towards him. "But… we were in there for hours…" He manages, glancing at the doctor. "This is way to much like Kronos…" he shakes his head.
"Time distortion, nothing more. Alison, I really do need the assistance and the Master is…. well, angry with me at the moment, don't ask why, so you'll have to do." he said, beckoning her over. Alison sighed, it was annoying to her that the Doctor could be so calm about this.
Will watches curiously, glancing around. It really was neat in here.
"Alison, just toss me that wrench will you?" he asked, pointing over to a wrench laying on top of the toolbox. "And do you see those red levers on the console? I need you to hold them in place until I tell you to let go." he continued. Alison handed him the wrench and held onto the levers, keeping them from moving. She felt ridiculous.
Will watches with interest. He was very excited as he watched.
"Alright, slowly release the levers, if you do it too quickly the TARDIS will implode and destroy the galaxy, so no pressure there." the Doctor said. Son of a…. just great, screw this up and we all die. Alison thought, slowly releasing the levers. She successfully did not destroy the galaxy and felt very relieved by this fact.
Wills eyes widen at that. Well that's lovely to think about…
The noise of an old-fashioned telephone rang through the control room. The Doctor sighed, picking up the phone and answering it. "Hello? No, I'm not…. remember what happened the last time I went there? No, I'm not doing it again!" he said into the phone. For a moment he was silent, and then: "Oh, alright. But only because…. yes, I know why. Good day to you." he said angrily, slamming down the phone. "Unfortunately, there is an emergency that requires my immediate attention and I simply cannot be bothered to avoid it." the Doctor said, punching in coordinates. He seemed to have forgotten Will was even there. Suddenly, there was a large jolt and a "Vwoooorp, vwooorp." noise coming from the TARDIS. They were taking off. The TARDIS landed with a thud, nearly knocking Alison off her feet.
"WAIT… WHAT?!" WIll screeches, landing on his butt when they landed. "Shit… Chiron's gonna kill me…"
"Oh, you're still here. Well, Alison and I really must be going, she's rather helpful when it comes to saving planets. I mean, she did help me save the Earth." the Doctor said, walking outside. Alison shrugged. "Hey, you could come with us. Alien worlds, whole new planets to explore." she said in sarcastic awe.
Will stares at her. "Do you have any idea how much… Oh gods… I'm gonna be strangled by grape vines… or worse… Chiron's gonna make me do the dishes…" He mutters. "With my bare hands… We wash dishes with lava by the way." he says, glancing at them.
"Ah, lava. A good method of sterilization. Come along, Alison." the Doctor said. "Time Machine." Alison mouthed, implying that Will could come with them and be back almost exactly when they left.
He nods and walks with them, still a little nervous.
They walked out onto a field of soft pinkish-red grass, where a sky of much deeper blue than one could imagine stretched over them. In the distance something like a spaceship flew by, it's engines leaving fluffy white cloudlike trails in the sky.
"Whoa…" Will mutters, his eyes going wide. "It's beautiful."
