Melody met the gaze of the girl looking at her, raising an eyebrow as she tucked her phone away.

And as for Jam, he was busy off in his own world of imagination, eyes glazed over as he thought to their marching band show this season. He quite enjoyed it. But the long hours, not-so-much.

Meghan, of course, stayed quiet. She just stayed close to Miss Tammy, who wrapped an arm around Meghan's shoulders. While most people her age would find the gesture embarrassing, Meghan found comfort in it.

Melody was no stranger to staredowns, which was apparently what this was going to become. Allowing her boredom to show on her face, she continued texting without removing her eyes from the girl's. "Something I can help you with?"

Cat leaned on a random desk her eyes not leaving the other girl. ”Oh, nothing. This place is boring and you're probably the most interesting thing right now, ” she said with a smirk. She needed to make at least one ally and what better way to do it than flirt a little.

"Aw, how sweet." Melody huffed a laugh, cocking a hip slightly as she continued texting. She hadn't missed the conversation that had happened behind her, and unnecessary asshole-ishness was pet peeve of hers. "Too bad it ain't true."

Cats smile faltered but she kept it on. ”What are you talking about?” she asked tilt g her head.

Somebody isn't used to unable to get their way. Melody mused in her head, arching an eyebrow as she waved a hand. "I'm not all that interesting."

”well look around. I haven't been here long but this town is really boring, ” she complained. ”So yeah compared to all that you're pretty interesting.”

"The town's got a lot more underneath the surface. Most do." She shrugged a shoulder, still looking fairly bored. "I, however, don't."

Robin sighed got up closed his book and walked out of the class not caring whether or not class was over.

Meghan listened to their conversion shyly. She herself felt like an iceberg. Anyone who cared enough to dig deeper would find out.

”Everyone does but sadly I'm not going to be here long enough to figure you or this town out, ” she said. ”of course that won't stop me from trying.” she was kind of lying. She really wasn't going to be there long. She wished she could but shell probably end up getting in trouble or something. She's already figured this town out and like she said it was boring but she did plan on figuring out Melody because why not?

"Why try if you won't be here long enough?" Melody asked, looking back down at her phone. "Seems to me like a one or the other situation. Good luck either way."

Cat just rolled her eyes. This was a great distraction but it wasn't enough. Her leg started to tap. She Went to leave the room. She’ll risk it and just forge their signatures. She debated on going to her next period class or already skipping.

Meghan hesitantly approached Melody. Hello, she wrote on her device.

Jam was shaken out of his thoughts as the two females show downed. He blinked in surprise.

Melody looked back up, tilting her head as she read the message on the tablet. "Hey." She greeted in response, giving a short nod.

At wondered the Hall. She didn't even check her schedule.

My name is Meghan. What's yours? was shown after she'd cleared the previous message.

"Melody." She said, her eyes flickering up to Meghan's face.

Meghan's eyes were filled excitedly with new light. That's a pretty name!

Melody blinked, the compliment obviously startling her. "Oh, uh, thanks, I guess. You're new, right?"

Yes, she wrote. Her smile was growing.
