"I'll take some help with props, if she's willing." Melody said, winking at Meghan before approaching Mr. Gielow's desk. "The 'rents are outta town on business."
"I'll take some help with props, if she's willing." Melody said, winking at Meghan before approaching Mr. Gielow's desk. "The 'rents are outta town on business."
Gielow nodded. "Are you home alone, or staying with grandparents?"
"Home alone. My grandparents don't like me." Melody said, shrugging a shoulder.
Gielow hummed in frustration. "Um… Can I possibly fax them the form for them to sign?"
"'Prolly not. My mother wouldn't go near one of those things if you payed her." That was a bit of truth slipped in.
Gielow sighed. "How about you sign it yourself, but if you act up, I'm going to be in a ton of trouble, so please don't get in trouble yourself."
"But trouble's my middle name." Melody quipped, sighing dramatically as she tossed her hair over her shoulder. "I'll stay outta big trouble, at least."
Gielow laughed and put his hands up in surrender. "Ok, that's all I'll be able to get outta you I guess."
Graye froze. "Where?"
"Are you claustrophobic?" Finn asked stopping beside her.
Cat grabbed her schedule and then saw that the teacher was free. She walked up to him her nervous smile returning.
Graye shook her head. "No…"
Gielow smiled at Cat. "And what's your issue cupcake?"
"Second floor janitor closet isn't even used. It's pretty much empty and unlocked," He admitted.
Graye hugged Finn quickly then ran for the stairs. "Thank you!!" she called to him.
Cat kept her smile. "I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to get a signature," Cat admitted. She quickly thought up a story. "My guardians are really busy with work right now and i just got here. I don't want to have to bother them." She asked the school not to tell the teachers about her situation but they almost always do anyway. So why not use that to her advantage?
Graye hugged Finn quickly then ran for the stairs. "Thank you!!" she called to him.
"No problem!" Finn called as he waved. He started walking to his next class.
Gielow thought about this. "Any other adult figure in your life?"
Cat shook her head. "Sorry no. My social worker's office is in another city. I can try to get a signature but I cant really promise anything."
Gielow nodded. "If you can't get it back by next Monday, we'll try to work something out. 'Kay?"
Cat nodded "Sure, I'll try to get it. Thanks," She said going to leave the class.
Gielow smiled and nodded, waving goodbye before turning to his computer to read a few e-mails.
Meghan checked her schedule.
"What's next, Miss Meghan?" her caretaker asked, peering over the girl's shoulder. "Algebra? Oh Lord…"
Megan smiled and pulled up a digital map of the school, looking for her math room.
Cat wondered around the school trying to find her next class. She finally found her math class.
Finn also struggled at first but he entered before cat. He had debated on following Graye but knew she needed to be alone.
Meghan wondered where Graye was. She seemed to be the first real friend Meghan made. She wanted to see if they had class together. Her eyes studied the map, still looking lost.
"Need directions?" Melody asked, raising an eyebrow at Meghan as she pulled a water bottle from her bag.
