He gave her a watery smile at the gesture and cupped the side of her face.

She placed her hand on top of his looking up at him

He opened his mouth to say something but… He just couldn't find the right words, so he closed it again.

She turned her head ever so slightly to place a delicate kiss on his palm

He smiled softly at her. ”I love you.” he said softly.

" I love you too" she said

He smiled a little and kissed her softly.

She kissed him back, a kiss full of passion and sadness and salty tears

He shared those feelings as his own tears added to hers. ”We’ll make it through this.” he finally managed to say.

" I know" she muttered, " I know"

”We’re just going to have to be careful.” he said as he held her. Asthma wasn't exactly lethal, even in severe cases… though he acknowledged that it was possible. The XP, however, was a bit more worrying.

She sighed clenching her hands into fists digging her nails into her palms drawing blood

He gently took her hands, to try to stop her from hurting herself, and rested his forehead against hers.

" your getting blood on your hands" she said

He bit his tongue for a moment to keep the almost reflexive response that it wouldn't be the first time to himself. ”It’s ok. I just don't want you to hurt yourself.” he said kindly.

He nodded a little and gently reached to pick her up.

She nodded wrapping her arms around him

He smiled softly and lifted her into his arms before carrying her to the bathroom.

She layed her head against his

He gave her a small smile as they approached the door.

She kissed his cheek gently

He chuckled softly as he felt his warmth return to him. He hadn't been cold exactly, just not warm.

" my hands are bloody and there are other vampires in this house" she said

”I know.” he said opening the door to the bathroom. ”That’s why I'm taking care of you.” He knew that Evan had already fed and Henry was fine… but he wasn't going to trust Jacob again around her.
