”What about sharing your heart with him?” he asked as he slowly started to become drenched by the storm. ”I don't know much about that because of how rare that is, but it always means something. It's the next closest thing to a love spell. Or at least, very strong affection.”
" Yes, I care about Evan but you my.love are my husband my light eternal" she said
He sighed a little in relief at hearing her say that and gently pulled her against him in a hug. ”I love you too. So much.” he said, his voice cracking softly. ”I just… I don't want… It hurt me when I saw you two kissing.”
She wrapped her arms around him " I know I'm sorry baby" she said
He held her close. ”Just please, don't kiss him when I’m around. Not like that.” he begged. ”I can handle a kiss on the cheek but not like that one.”
”Thank you.” he whispered, kissing her cheek. ”Please don't cry, my love.” he said as he warmed up to help protect her from the cold rain.
" I don't want to lose you" she cried gripping onto his shirt
”I don't want to lose you either.” he told her, holding her comfortingly and closely.
”I’m not going anywhere, angel.” he promised.
" c-can we go back inside I'm c-cold" she said her teeth chattering
“Of course.” he nodded before picking her up. ”Would you like some coffee or hot chocolate when we get inside?” he asked as he started to walk.
She nodded " hot chocolate" she said
”With whipped cream or marshmallows?” he asked with a small smile.
He chuckled softly and nodded. ”Alright.” he smiled at her as they walked under the patio covering and headed inside.
She closed the door behind them
Lysander chose to ignore everyone else in the living room and carried Betty straight into the kitchen, drying himself off a little on the way.
Betty got a towel drying off her soaked hair
Lysander smiled at her as he let go of her and started making the hot chocolate.
As he waited for the water to boil, he got down two coffee cups and the marshmallows.
