He nodded and rolled over slightly to grab his phone. He quickly went to his very few pictures and pulled up a picture of their little girl to show her. Laura-Beth was wearing a pair of her jeans but they were on backwards, under her purple princess tutu with her yellow teddy bear hoodie and her plastic sparkly tiara on top of the hood. The best part of the picture was how happy she looked, despite her shoes being on the wrong feet.
She smiled " That's our girl" she said
”Yeah, it is.” he smiled back. ”I actually let her wear that all day after I helped fix her pants and shoes.” he told her.
" did you leave the house" she asked
”No. Well, the house… yeah but we just played around outside. We didn't really go anywhere today.” he said.
She nodded " how was she with me being gone" she asked
”She was alright. She cried a little at first, but I did my best to cheer her up and keep her distracted.” he said. ”It seemed to work too.”
She nodded
She woke up the next morning and got out of bed
He sighed a little in his sleep.
She flicked some of his hair away from his face
He groaned a little and rolled onto his back.
She smiled and caressed his cheek.softly
His eyes slowly fluttered open and smiled sleepily as he saw her. ”Hi.”
”What time is it?” he asked, still tired.
”In other words, way too early.” he said still tired. He smirked at her before wrapping his arms around her and pulling her back down to the bed.
She giggled at him and bit her lip
He smiled and closed his eyes, nuzzling against her.
He smiled and sighed softly.
She smiled and hummed softly
”I love you.” he whispered, keeping his eyes closed as he held her.
