'Don't expect me to share." said Lili. "I don't have a life."
'Don't expect me to share." said Lili. "I don't have a life."
Also, just to put it out there, I just got engaged to my girlfriend.!!
Rouge chuckled at that "same here but i still have my woes"
"Ah, My name is Lili. As you can see, I have green hair. That's all you get to know."
Rouge looked at her then stood to share "My name is Rouge and i was cursed with a demon at a young age"
“So, I guess, since I’m new, I SHOULD tell you guys about myself.” Lili brushed the hair from in front of her eyes. “So, my name i Lili Mortimer. I’m 19, and can control the shape, consistency and material my body takes. I also have empathic powers, so I can read emotions. I'm not going to do it a ton, just so you know. It's not mind reading.
Mason laughed from on the table. "Sounds like a life to me", Even moping he had a sense of humor.
(Congratulations! On your engagement I mean)
(Also you all have permission to hit Mason in the head if he is overly sarcastic)
"So… I'm Sucorra," she introduced herself. She didn't bother mentioning her power. When others learned of it, usually they didn't look at her the same way again or stayed away from her in fear of getting misfortune themselves. Though she wouldn't exactly be being truthful with them, she would have some friends, at least. However temporary.
"How very interesting." More sarcasm. Mason didn't mind Sucorras power. At least she had one. He'd had enough bad luck with out her anyway,a little bit more won't change a thing.
"Someone's grumpy today," Sucorra bit out, glaring. "Look, today isn't the best day of my life either, but I'm not taking it out on everyone. Just make this easier for the rest of us so we can get this done earlier."
"Sorry" Mason mumbled. "Aren't we done?"
"I think so," she stated. "Should we go to the teacher for the next task, then?"
"Yeah." Mason tried to perk up. "Maybe we should."
"I… I guess…" Iris stumbled. "Let's just all try to get through the period, shall we?" she tried to brighten up the mood, but didn't think it would work. When they all got over to the teacher, she smiled brightly.
"Hey guys, all done? Here's a short reading," Eleanor handed each of them a sheet of paper about the history of magic, the first users of magic, ect. "And there's some questions on the back to complete. Don't forget to write your name at the top! You'll be turning them in later," she continued.
Iris took one look at the paper and groaned. She'd rather read some fantasy book instead, but if she wanted to pass this class, well, she'd just have to deal with it.
"Yes!" Mason said as he read the title of the paper. His favourite subject. He loved reading about magical history, All of the powers people have had made him think about his own. He skipped reading and went straight to the questions, answering most of them before having to read through.
She started to read. In 1043 there was a not-so well known battle, also known as the Moon Battle… God, this was so freaking boring, she thought to herself. Iris skimmed through the rest of the text and flipped over the paper, using the reading material as reference as she slowly and methodically answered the questions. But when she was answering the last question, a line from the reading material caught her eye. Actually, the first users of magic didn't even know about magic! Imagine how surprised they must've been when they discovered them! Fascinating, she thought to herself. Interesting enough, the question she'd been about to answer was about the first users of magic, and she filled that out quickly.
"Done!" Mason congratulated himself and walked to the teacher's desk. He slid the paper over to her and waited for her to tell him what to do next.
"Well done," she smiled. "Why don't you go grab a computer from the cart over there," she paused to point to a computer cart across the room. "and go research the most interesting subject you can find that relates to something you read and write a paper about it? It won't be graded, but I'll read over it! I'll write the requirements on the board." Eleanor went to the whiteboard at the front and grabbed a marker and wrote the following in large, loopy, handwriting:
Requirements:
At least 5 paragraphs, and 5 sentences per paragraph
Must have a title
Must be edited
You need a first draft, then rewrite into a final draft, and then finally the official paper
Get a classmate to peer edit your first draft along with your own edits
Then she turned around and called for the students' attention. "Hey class, when you're done I want you to write a paper about the most interesting thing that relates to something you read! Perhaps, it could be a subject, like the Moon War, or, maybe you have a question that you could answer throughout the course of the paper. The requirements are written on the board. And just so you know, it isn't going to be graded, but it must be done in this class only. You'll get classtime tomorrow to work on this as well, so no rush."
Iris silently handed her paper to Eleanor and then went to grab a computer. The teacher hadn't assigned them numbers yet so she just grabbed a random one. Sitting back down, she opened the chromebook and signed into her own personal account. The cursor blinked over the search box on the browser window that opened automatically for a long five seconds. What had stood out to her again? Oh yeah, the fact about the first magic users not knowing about magic at first…
Mason raised his hand. "Excuse me, for my subject can I do the history of black magic? It wasn't in the paper you gave us but it's still magic history"
Sucorra hated history; she just couldn't remember it all, how the timeline fit. Sure, some of it was interesting, though she just didn't see the point in having to know all of it. She continued to work on her assignment, now almost done with the questions.
Rouge payed as much attention as she could she wasn't all too good at History but she tried her best and usually passed
Lili scowled at her paper, hoping almost that it would wither. He hated history so much. “Shit.” she said under her breath. She did the paper and turned it in. “This sucked.” she told the teacher.”
Rouge sighed in relief as she finished the paper and pulled out a chromebook quickly flipping it into a tablet
Jaiden did the paper and turned it in to the teacher and walked back to her desk.
Mason raised his hand. "Excuse me, for my subject can I do the history of black magic? It wasn't in the paper you gave us but it's still magic history"
Eleanor looked up from grading the students' papers. "Are you quite knowledgeable about it?" she asked. She wanted them to do a subject that they understood well, but preferably one they liked.
