"Sounds like a game I could win" a grin crossed Eves face. She had wings but had yet to show them. Which gave her an idea. She drove home and when she pulled into the drive way quickly got out and ran to her room, "I'm gonna change first" she shouted back to Connor. When she came out she was wearing a tank top that showed most of her back and jeans. "Alright. What are we doing this with?" a wicked grin still on her face.
"A-Are you sure you want to wear that shirt?" He turned away, his face was visibly red and he knew Eve would give him crap for it. He thought she looked good, so don't get him wrong, it's just that there is a lot of skin showing.
"Scared?" Eve asked a smug look on her face. "So what object shall we use?" She looked around for something to play this game with. "How about this book?" She asked picking it up and looking to Connor.
"S-Sure, yeah, that works." He still couldn't look at her. This is going to make it hard for me. Conner pulled out his phone and set a timer for 30 minutes. "Okay you can start if you would like." Taking a deep breath he got into game mood and tried to push past what Eve was wearing.
Eves wings burst out her back and she enclosed herself in them, "good luck!" She shouted threw her wings with a laugh. "I smell victory." She joked.
"Hey, that's not fair!" He ran after her. There was no way he was going to win this. Great what is she going to make me do? "Come on. You're just mad because I won the last game."
"Ha! And you're just mad because you're gonna lose this one" Eve had enclosed herself in her wings. The only way in was to pry them open, and let's just say most don't want to touch her wings. They had this eligent curve at the top where it looked a claw would be, white feathers covered the space. They where this black leathery wings with the ocationl sprout of the feathers, a link to her mother she wished she could tare away.
"Alright." Conner walked over grabbed her wings and tried his best to pry them open. "How strong are these things?" They were definitely stronger then she actually was because if it was an arm wrestle he would win.
"Strong enough to hold over a hundred pounds in the air for hours" Eve laughed clutching the book to her chest as to insure even if he did get threw he'd never get the book. Atlest not with out a fight.
Conner got the wings to crack open just enough to where he could slip his arm in, which he did. He felt around, at first he could feel her hair, he moved his hand down to her cheek. "Come on." Bending down, his arm followed down her arm and finally touched the book. "Yes." Now all he needed to get in just enough to grab it.
"I wouldn't do that if I where you" the sound of a wicked grin in Eves voice, but sadly she didn't have a threat planed. She could only hope he'd fall for her bluff and pull back. Eve tightened her grip on the book refusing to let go. "How much time is left?" She asked.
"I don't know, I'm to busy trying to get this book from you." He felt the tip of the book and right as he was about to grab the book his alarm went off. "Dang it!" He pulled his arm out and shyly on the floor. "Okay, you win."
Eve poked her head out from the safety of her wings and laughed, "HA!" She shouted joy in her voice. "I like human games" a normal smile on her face. As she said so her wings molted back into her back and she put the book back to where it had once been.
"Does that hurt?" He pointed to his own back. It looked painful when she did that. He was happy that she was happy though, even if he was going to be her slave for a day.
"Huh? Only a little. It used to hurt more. But you get used to it after a couple hundred years" Eve shrugged a big grin still on her face. She thought for a second, "30%" she said with no explanation.
"What?" He pushed himself from the ground and looked down at her, arms crossed. "What does 30% mean?" Conner was concerned for himself, he wasn't sure if this was a good idea.
"That's for me to know and you to find out." Eve turned her grin into more of a sweet one now, "lets just say 30% not that bad for someone like you" she met his eyes hers sending a challenge of her own.
"Come on just tell me." He looked at her the same way, not willing to back down. "I won't leave you alone until you do." There had to be a way for him to get her to tell him. Taking off his shirt won't do it because she's used to that by now.
"31 percent." Eve said turning to walk back to her room, "and for the record, I don't think you'll ever figure it out"
(Time skip? Few months? Unless you had something planned.)
(No, that's fine we can time skip. I just don't know how I'll start it because I don't know what's going on.)
(Oofty oof. I can start it.)
(Okay. That will help a lot.)
It'd been a few months now and Eve had let herself fall in love, stupid she'd tell herself every morning. one day he's going to leave and you'll be heart broken she shook her thoughts from her head and skipped down the halls to Connors room, "hey!" She shouted threw the door.
"Come in." He had gotten used to waking up early and didn't need her to wake up anymore. He was dress and just waiting for her to come get him. Conner fell for Eve a long time ago, he just got good at hiding it at this point.
"Up so soon?" Eve joked coming in. "I would have guessed you'd still be asleep." As always it was long before the sun as they could escape the heat of the day. "So. What wonderous adventure shall we embark apon today cutie?" She couldn't stop herself, crap "Connor I ment Connor" her face went a bright red.
