"Connor wait!" Eve started after him but Mark grabbed her hand pulling her back, "there's something wrong with him Eve." Mark glared after him, his hold on to Eves arm not wavoring. "Mark.let.me.go." the black of her eyes glowed threw the cloth. Mark grinned in return pulling her along, he wanted to see what Satan would do to Connor.
Since Conner did take Mazakeen's demon abilities, he got a bit of her power, though it manifests into something more fit for him. Conner walked through the castle doors and down the hall to the throne room.
"Connor don't be stupid we'll all get in trouble." Eve tried to stop him just before he went threw the doors but was to late. She and mark in followed Eve sucking in a breath that she was sure might be her last.
"Hmmm, so you're back." Satan didn't even bother looking up from what he was doing when they walked in.
"Indeed I am, and intend to take your daughter to earth with me." Once again Conner pulled Eve away from Mark and to his side. "I want to marry Eve and take her to earth." Conner knew she would like it up there, there was so much she could experience.
A smile spread to Satan's lips as he looked up, "and how, are you going to take my daughter, to marry when she is to marry someone else." Eve looked down not wanting to meet her father's, or Connors gaze. She remembered her packing and how she'd yet to finish because she sensed Connors return. Eve had been packing her things to move, "its been hundreds of years you know, I'd have thought you never come back. So, I promised her to someone, someone you'd very much hate to meet." Satan's smile grew into something that seemed twisted.
"Let me take a guess." He took a glance at Mark. He hated that guy, he wasn't good enough for her and now he was definitely not as strong as Conner now. "Well, I'm here now, so I'll be taking her with me." He didn't want to show his demon side, but he would if he had too.
"Connor-" Eve started but her father cut her off, "What makes you think she can have a life on earth. And before you say You'll stay, how long do you think you can have a life here? Defently not as long as last time." his eyes glowed and in a blink of an eye he was infrount of Connor. "Mark, take Eve back to her room before things get…ugly."
"Wait, no." Mark clamppled his hand around her wrist taking her away.
Conner turned to his demon form and Mazikeens's scent and vibe surrounded him. A black scythe appeared with her symbol on it. "Does this remind you of someone, maybe and older sister of yours?" Conner looked him straight in the eye. "Mark, if you don't get your hands off of her, this scythe will be the last thing you will ever see."
"Connor stop." Eve had pulled to a stop and was staring him down. The cloth removed from her eyes, she dispised them for how black they where. How they seemed to suck the light from a room. How they reminded her of the day she had Connor sent back to earth.
Mark had a grin plastered on his face, "and maybe it'd be the last thing, she ever saw." He'd pulled Eve infrount of him as a Shield.
Satan's smile disappeared though, "how did you-" his own eyes turned black, the white of his own eyes disappearing. "You." the castle seemed to shake.
Cooner seemed to disappear for a moment and was behind Mark, his scythe at his neck. "Let go." The words were like venom dripping from his mouth. "I won't ask again." He was about to do anything to take Eve with him. Eve was the only girl he wanted and he was going to make it happen so that she comes back with him.
Mark stiffened and released Eve, "fine." He sneered, "take her. See how long she'll last." Eve looked around the room noticing her father had disappeared, crud she thought.
Conner grabbed Eve. "Are you okay." He looked down at her, but he definitely didn't look the same. "He didn't hurt you right?" He lightly laid a kiss on her forehead and smiled. He was so happy to have her back in his arms.
"What? No- Connor who did you sell your soul to?" Eve was startled by his new look. The fact that he'd sell part- or even all of his soul to be part demon. It was unsettling to think about, "what was the deal- how much time do you have left?" Questions flooded her mind but she couldn't put them all into words.
"It was Mazikeen, your aunt. She was living on earth and I found her." He could tell Eve was uncomfortable, he wasn't sure if it was because of his looks, personality or the fact he sold his soul. "I have as much time as I want as long as I don't die," Because if that happened he would belong to Mazikeen, like a little slave. "You can ask all the questions you want when we get back to earth," Mazikeen gave him a pendent that will take him and one other person to earth.
"Okay." Eve whispered out. She didn't want to stay in hell, not with out Connor. Not again. The first time he'd left had shattered her. Almost to the point for burning what little angel blood she had away. But it didn't. She didn't know why it didn't, by all logic it should have. But she'd had a feeling that was part of what Connor loved about her. How she wasn't a full demon. How she could feel other emotions besides hate, greed etc. "Lets go to earth." She said knowing full well it'd be short lived. But no matter how short, She wanted to go.
Conner held the pendent in his hand and closed his eyes. Only moments later he opened them and they were on earth. It was summer so it was warm, definitely cooler than hell though. "Welcome to earth." Conner turned back into his human, he did want to scare anyone around him. "You should hide your horns."
The first thing that hit Eve was a pain in her chest, the one she got so many times when coming to Earth. She quickly pushed the pain away trying to ignore it even if it left her gasping for breath, and pulled her hair up in to a bun to his her horns, "wow." She whispered looking around.
"Beautiful right?" Conner wanted to show her so many things, but getting her settled at his place was the first thing he needed to do. "Come, my place isn't to far from here." He took Eve's hand and led her down the side walk that was lined with beautiful green trees. People were out playing and riding bikes, it was a nice day, not to hot not to cold. It was just right.
Eve kept her gaze to the ground not wanting people to look at her, "Connor…my eyes." Her eyes where still that deep shade of black that seemed as if they could suck the light from a room.
"Don't worry, I've got you covered, we just have to get back to my place first." He took a right turn and continued down the side walk. He was happy that he had a good job and was able to get his own house, sure it was small, but it was big enough for the both of them.
"Right." Eve didn't want to talk to loud already knowing her red hair would drawl enough attanchan.
(Sorry its so short.)
Conner opened the door to his house and walked in. It was small but very modern and clean, he hated a messy home. "Come with me." He nodded his head for her to follow. In the bathroom he already had many contacts at ready for her, and in many colors so that she would have a choice.
Eve mouthed a wow as she looked around. She wasn't- more ever was, used to a big house. It always seemed so…empty, To her. "You live here?" She asked aw in her voice.
"Yeah, it's small but I have a cute porch outside the looks over the town. It's very beautiful at night." He turned the light on in the bathroom and showed her all the contacts. "Do you know what these are?" He wasn't sure if she has ever used them before or even heard of them.
Eve cocked her head, "um, no not really." She said a bit embaresed. Now she was the one confused as to how things worked. It wasn't a feeling Eve was acustum to.
