Lucy nodded, then paused for a moment in what she was doing and turned to Bennett. “What are you, exactly?” She asked hesitantly, “I’ve never heard of anyone who could do this.”
Lucy nodded, then paused for a moment in what she was doing and turned to Bennett. “What are you, exactly?” She asked hesitantly, “I’ve never heard of anyone who could do this.”
He turns to face her.
"I'm, well, what you'd call an Abstract Deity, in human terms. Occasionally I'll come down to one planet or another, almost always Earth, to just settle down."
He wondered how she'd take the news. He'd learned that, to humans, finding these things out was pretty extreme.
Lucy’s eyes widened in a mixture of amazement and shock. “That’s extraordinary! I’ve never heard of that species before. Are there any others that you know of who are like you?”
"Yes." He says, looking her dead on. "I can think of a few." With that he turned around.
"Shall we explore?"
“Let’s go on ahead, then,” Lucy said, deciding not to press further on the topic, as he seemed to not want to talk about it much.
Robin nervously followed Lucy in silence, unnerved by all the talk of blood. At least his surroundings distracted him to a certain extent
Lucy slowed her pace, falling into step with Robin. She could feel his aura was off slightly. “How are you feeling?” She asked in a warm tone.
"Anxious…" He replied honestly. "I-I don't know how long we've been gone, and this whole blood thing is creeping me out.."
“That’s understandable. I would tell you the time, but it may be different here where we are. Try not to think about the blood thing, it’s for a good cause.” Lucy patted his shoulder in a comforting manner.
Robin nodded, looking down at his feet. A bird fluttered onto his shoulder and he turned towards it. "Hello, what's your name?" The bird explained that her name was Orchid. "That's lovely. Er, how do you like it here?" He completely forgot that he was in another dimension when the bird showed up, and he relaxed some
Lucy smiled softly and walked at her normal pace, glancing up at the strangely colored sky. There were most likely materials here that couldn’t be found on Earth, and that could do wonders for her witchcraft.
Allura felt a little bad for following the strange group of people, but if they were up to something (as it looked like they were), it could mean an extra payday for her. She was willing to risk it.
Robin was still nervous, but considerably more relaxed as he chatted casually with the bird. Some of the others glanced back at him, confused, before Lucy explained that he could talk to animals and they left him to himself
Allura spotted the boy talking to the bird. "interesting…" she thought to herself. It had been a while since she'd seen one of them.
Lucy glanced back ahead of them, frowning softly to herself for a moment. The energy was off, and she couldn’t pick up the energy of someone that was more than ten feet away. She bit the inside of her cheek and tried a tad harder, but felt a sharp pain jolt through her head and something drip down onto her lips. She brought her hand up quickly, wiping away the trickle of blood that dripped from her nose.
"Are, are you OK?" Bennett says to Lucy. If he had to guess, maybe she was sensitive to the variety of dimensional energies here.
“I’m fine, don’t worry. My senses are just acting up,” Lucy sniffed softly and dug into her satchel for a tissue, which she covered her nose with to stop the bleeding. Using her other hand, she took out the silver pills, swallowing about four or five dry, despite the fact the dosage is 2.
Maroon watched as the rift carried them away, and smiled. Everything was going exactly as he planned. He was sucked into the rift as well and brushed his jacket off when he hit the ground.
Robin tumbled through the rift, tripping and almost falling. The bird had followed him through, and was now circling his head, chirping happily
"OK." He said turning out of the alley to the streets, which were lined with buildings that had strange glyphs on the signs.
"Drinks, anyone?"
“God, that would be amazing,” Lucy said, tossing the tissue out. She adjusts her blouse slightly, smoothing out any wrinkles.
"Where to?" He says to her.
Robin brushed out his clothes and had continued talking to Orchid. She was a beautiful blue jay, clearly talkative and friendly, occasionally even sounding as though she were laughing. He was obviously fond of the bird from the start
Maroon walked with the crowd, his headphones drowning out the noise, his parents warnings coming to him. Don't exert yourself. You will die. Don't talk too much. You will die. Don't do too much physical activity. You will die. Don't raise your expectations. You will die. Don't believe that you're going to be okay. You will die. You ruined Evan's life. You caused Evan's disease. Stay away from him.
“Any bars nearby?” Lucy arched a brow in question, looking up at Bennett. She hoped the topic of her being underage wouldn’t come up, as she wasn’t in the mood to argue about it.
