"Nuuu!" Atticus screeched out between laughs, trying to catch his breath as Avery kept after his especially ticklish spots, like his ribs for instance. "Haha st-stop ha it hahah, please for ahahaha," Atticus was cut off by his own laughter.
Avery pretended to think about it for a few seconds, still tickling Atticus. "Nah." He said with a wicked grin, tickling more of his ticklish spots. They might have alerted some hunters, but for a moment he found someone who he was comfortable around. He hadn't had that since Angel…
(I'm so fucking angry I wrote out a wholesome, good response for this and it was fucking deleted because of an application error I'M SO UPSET RIGHT NOW ARUGH)
I KNOW!!!! I once filled out a very descriptive character form and it got deleted.//
Avery pretended to think about it for a few seconds, still tickling Atticus. "Nah." He said with a wicked grin, tickling more of his ticklish spots. They might have alerted some hunters, but for a moment he found someone who he was comfortable around. He hadn't had that since Angel…
Atticus covered his mouth with his hand to muffle his continued laughter as Avery went at him again with the tickling. "Pl… please–Avery," Atticus huffed out, trying to beg Avery to stop as tears began to prick the corners of his eyes from laughing so much.
I'm probably going to write a response later, my powers out//
(oof. sorry there Duskie. Good luck and stay safe!)
YEAH! MY POWERSS BACK!!!//
Avery laughed, still tickling for a bit then stopping. He wondered if Atticus was going to try and tickle him, that would be funny considering that Avery wasn't ticklish. At all. "Do you surrender?"
"Yes I surrender! I surrender!" Atticus announced, holding his hands palm-up above his head in submission. He was breathing heavily and he rolled onto his back, wiping away the tears with the back of his hands.
"Okay!" Avery said cheerfully, standing up.
He watched Atticus for a moment the sighed and put out his hand. "Want some help buddy?"
"Yes please," After taking a deep breath, Atticus nodded his head and reached up to take ahold of Avery's hand. His hand gently grasped Avery's, his cheeks red from laughter and perhaps something else.
Avery flushed as Atticus took his hand, helping him get up. When Atticus had stood up Avery cleared his throat and awkwardly said. "We should… Get going."
"You kinda need to… let… go… of…" Atticus trailed off, looking down at their still-linked hands. "Um…" He was squeaking now, his face growing redder but not pulling away.
Avery looked down, his face getting more and more flushed. "Ack! I am so, so sorry." He apologized and reluctantly let go. But I don't want to let go of the cute boy's hand… Ugh, I hate social situations.
(Do you prefer angst, fluff, or a mix? Cuz I'm torn between more fluff on the road or them getting found by hunters)
"N-no, it's okay…" Atticus whispered, his voice shaking as he stood frozen for a second becore slowly pulling his hand to his chest to grab onto the side of the cloak. He pulled the hood back up in an attempt to hide his face and embarrassment from Avery, closing the open face of his hood with his other hand. He barely noticed his racing heart and the heat radiating from him.
I want fluff but need to improve on my angst… Shit!//
Avery froze for a moment like a deer in headlights (A deer in Torchlights?), after a bit something exploded nearby. What had exploded was a small tree, Avery turned to it. "Well, shit." He muttered, his powers got out of control again…
Atticus jumped as a small tree exploded near them, instinctively moving closer to hide behind Avery, his hands reaching out to grab the siren's arm. "What was that?!"
Avery gave a nervous laugh. "Don't worry about it." He said, trying not to make the smaller boy nervous. He just hoped o Hunters had heard the explosion.
Atticus, however, didn't leave Avery's side, even at his reassuring words. Instead, he inched even closer, basically hugging Avery's arm at this point. "A lot of noise has happened near us… we should probably get moving quickly…"
"Probably." Avery said, grabbing his bag off the ground where it had fallen and moving away awkwardly so Atticus could go first.
Atticus slowly moved away and began to move onward as soon as Avery picked up his bag. He took several deep breaths, trying to calm himself. Idiot–I'm such an idiot! You're both on the run; now is not the time to let my emotions take over… he thought as he brought up a hand to his face, feeling the heat from his blush slowly fade.
