Atticus turned to Avery, thinking the siren had said something about bombs, but found him covered in a blanket instead. He curled back up in his blanket burrito state and attempted to fall into an uneasy rest.

TIME SKIP TILL MORNING, BITCHES
Avery wakes up, realizing that he in fact is not a goddamn morning person. "Forgot how much I fucking hate mornings." He mutters, stretching his arms.
bump bump//
Atticus still slept soundly in his blanket burrito, letting out a light snore every now and again.
Avery walked over to Atticus, he lent down and shook him. "Hey, you need to get up. We need to move." He says, still shaking him.
Atticus bolted out of his blanket and grabbed Avery's hand, thinking he was being attacked. He quickly released Avery once he recognized the siren as a friend. "S-sorry. Um yeah," Atticus stumbled out.
"Its fine, but we need to go soon." He says, pushing himself away and going to pack his bag.
"Alright…" Atticus fluffed his feathers slightly as he let a few uncomfortable wing beats escape him. He walked over to the blanket and returned it to Avery before going to the burnt-out fire pit and spread the ashes with his foot, making sure there weren't any burning coals left over. After that was done, he grabbed the bark pieces they used for plates last night and chucked them into the woods from the mouth of the cave. He then waited by the entrance for the siren and also kept a lookout for any approaching hunters in the crisp morning air.
Avery looks up. "You might not want to take a step, i haven't disabled the sound mines." he looks back down and shoves everything else into his bag, cracking his neck and standing up.
bummp.//
Bump//
(shit shit shit sorry. Been busy and I forgot about this hhhhh)
You good fam.//

Atticus quickly looked between Avery and around the perimeter of the cave, not doubting his words and actually scooted slightly backward into the cave. His wings itched to get flying again and to leave this dangerous place. "So um… where are you going to be heading?" Atticus asked the siren, thinking the guy wanted to go his own seprate way.
"I was thinking we were going to head to the nearest town, our supplies are running low." Avery says, already prepared to do anything to make sure his Angel Boy was safe. He slings his bottomless bag over his shoulder, concentrating for a moment before saying. "Mines are disabled."
Sorry for ttaking so long///

(HHhhhhhhh I finally hosted my Relay For Life event and it was a nice success, however now I'm fucking sick so sorry if my responses kinda suck)
"O-okay," Atticus stumbled as a small smile touched his features. Secretly, he was glad the siren wasn't leaving him quite yet. "I should probably hide my wings under something, but what am I going to do about my halo horns?" He asked slowly as his hand led up to his head, pointing toward his cracked circle-horns.
"A cloak could do it. Its also close to Halloween so you could just pass as someone who wanted to dress up early." Avery brainstormed, flicking his fingers with every idea that came and left.
Poor Red, have some tea.//
(Thank you. lmao I've been drinking tea and honey water almost all day but eating is a bitch right now)
"That's good then. I hope you have a cloak in that bottomless bag of yours…" Atticus insinuated, not doubting for a second that Avery actually had a cloak in there somewhere. "Where's the nearest town anyway?"
"Fort Worth, and I do have a cloak in here somewhere. I hope you don't mind that its Navy, that's my favorite color." He says, pulling down his bag and rummaging through it. "Aha! Here it is, its going to be very, very oversized to your wings will fit."
"Navy is a lovely color," Atticus complimented as he shook his wings out before tucking them as close as he could to his back without hurting too much, preparing for the oversized navy cloak.
Avery handed Atticus a large cloak. "It should fit, my brother was an Angel and that fit his wings." He says, observing the Angel Boys antics.
"Thank you…" Atticus took the cloak gently and threw it around himself, securing the front and making sure the back covered everything. He noticed the use of 'was' in Avery's sentence but he didn't want to press the siren. He attempted to put the hood on, however his broken circle-horns stopped the cloth from completely covering his head. Ugh… I wish I could just get rid of them.
