His eyes narrowed slightly in understanding. Oh he definitely knew. He pressed Jared closer to him, keeping him safe from any possible prying eyes. "Do you want to go home?" He asks gently. "We can go back to my house or to yours if need be." He murmured quietly. He gently cups Jared's jaw, "Is there anything I can do?" He whispers.
He was shaking faintly, leaning into Victor's hands with his eyes shut. "I-I…I don't know…" he said quietly. "I just…now everyone…" now everyone knew. Sure, the article would blur out the space between his legs, or anything too inappropriate, but the pictures were still out there now. Jared's ex had, essentially, turned Jared into an object, to be viewed by anyone who wanted to. And his body didn't even look like that anymore. Those pictures had been from before the kidnapping, when Jared was slim but not skinny, fit and healthy. Now his body was layered with scars, and too skinny from not eating enough.
He nods slowly, his eyes softening. "I've got you. I've got you." He murmured quietly. He glances around, his eyes narrowed slightly before he glances back down at Jared. "Let's head back to my place, alright? We can sort it out there where we're not in line of prying eyes. Is that okay, Jared?" He asks gently, stroking his cheek and offering a tiny smile in hope of reassuring the other that things would work out.
He nodded faintly. "I-I…yeah…I…" He let out a shaky breath, pressing closer to Victor and trembling a little.
He took off his jacket and secured it around Jared. He stood and gently walked Jared to his car, his eyes soft and gentle as they make it into the car. Once he was sure Jared was settled he got into the drivers seat and they went back to Victor's house as quickly as they could without breaking the law… much.
Jared curled up in his seat, closing his eyes tightly and taking a shaky breath. "Thank you, Victor." He whispered quietly.
He nods, "Of course." He murmured quietly. Once they were back to the house, he gently helps Jared out of the car and into the house. He shuts the blinds and locks the doors, giving them complete privacy. "Go ahead and change into something more comfortable, okay?" He murmured gently, putting his hand on top of Jared's head.
Jared nodded, heading to grab a change of clothes, changing and coming back, sitting down on the couch and leaning his face into his hands, trying to come to terms with this.
Victor also changed into a more comfortable outfit, just a white muscle t-shirt and grey sweatpants. He walked over to Jared's side, settling beside him. "How can I help?" He asks softly, his eyes filled with genuine concern.
He shrugged faintly. "I…I don't know." He whispered quietly.
He nods and paused. "May I hug you?" He asked quietly. He didn't know if the other was one to want physical touch when he was distressed or if he preferred to be alone.
He nodded faintly. "I, uhm, yeah." He said softly, eyes closed.
He nods and gently pulls the other into his embrace. He held him protectively, practically shielding him.
He leaned into Victor, eyes still closed as he let out a quiet breath, biting his lip faintly.
He ran his hand through Jared's hair, keeping him close. "I've got you. It's okay, don't hold yourself back… Cry, scream, vent, whatever you need, I'm here." He whispers.
He nodded faintly, starting to cry, curling up to press closer to Victor, trembling.
Victor held him close, letting him cry and let it out. It was better to release emotions rather than hold them in. Plus crying always helped. He ran his hand soothingly through Jared's hair.
Jared kept crying, trembling faintly and leaning into Victor, eyes shut tight.
Victor was warm, and smelt like pine and campfire. His hands gently comb through Jared's hair as he cried, his eyes gentle as he kept the smaller male against his chest. "I've got you."
Jared swallowed faintly, crying into Victor's chest.
He let Jared have as much time as he needed, his arms firm around Jared, never letting go and keeping him close. He wanted to comfort Jared as much as possible, and somewhere in his mind, he felt angered slightly. He was angry at the world. The world had hurt Jared so many times. Over and over. He didn't deserve pain like this. It just wasn't right.
Jared eventually calmed down, but didn't move away from the comforting circle of Victor's arms. He sniffled faintly, taking a deep breath and looking up at Victor uncertainly.
Victor offered Jared a tissue and ran a hand through his hair, offering a gentle smile to the man in his arms. "How are you feeling?" He asks quietly. "Do you need anything? Tea, food?" He wanted to keep Jared's mind of the pain for now. Wanted to offer him solace somehow. His face was so close to Jared's, his baby blue staring into Jared's green. He wanted to help. That's why he was hired, to protect and help Jared in any way possible.
He shrugged his shoulders a little bit, rubbing his eyes with ahand. "I…I don't know…I'm sorry…" he said softly.
He shook his head and smiled a little bit. "There's nothing to worry about, okay?" He whispers softly, rubbing Jared's shoulder gently. "It's okay, take your time." He murmured softly.
