(Go for it!)
(alright! I gtg soon tho)
They had arrived home about an hour ago, and Jared had headed to his room to be alone for a while.
((okie))
Victor had settled in the living area, humming quietly to himself as he read a book.
(goodnight!)
Jared heard a noise at the window, and turned, letting out a breath as he saw someone at it.
Victor glances up, the hair on the back of his neck rising. He stood and cocked his gun quietly, his eyes narrowing as he walks towards Jared's room. Was he okay? Was Victor overreacting?
The window shattered and then the person was moving. Jared's eyes widened and he retreated towards the door, tripping over something and going sprawling over the carpeting.
Victor heard the noises and his eyes narrow and he bursts into Jared's room, his gun aimed and ready to kill. He knew there was a danger. And he responded to it. That was his job.
Jared glanced up, wide eyed, as Victor came in, pushing himself to his feet. The intruder's eyes flashed from Jared, to Victor, narrowing.
Victor moved and stood in front of Jared, his gun trained on the intruder. "I wouldn't recommend making any other moves. Give up quietly or I will shoot you. And I will warn you. I don't miss." His voice was cold, very different from how he talked to Jared.
Jared stood still, arms wrapped around himself protectively. He wasn't sure how Victor had known to come, but he was grateful he had. The man frowned, but wisely didn't move.
Victor had heard the commotion, it's not like he could have missed it. He held his gun on the other, holding his ground, keeping an eye on the intruder. His hand was steady, his eyes narrowed. He was a cold blooded killer, not the kind Victor that Jared had met earlier.
The intruder's eyes flicked to Jared for a moment, then to Victor, still remaining silent and still. Jared pressed his back to the wall, trusting that Victor knew what to do about this.
Victor barely even moved before the gun went off, grazing the intruders arm. "That was a warning shot." He says simply, his eyes dark. "Get going." he hissed darkly. He was ready to kill, ready to pounce. There was a reason why Victor was the best in his field.
The man yelped, one hand clapping the wound, and then he was leaving, casting one last glance at Jared. Jared remained where he was, taking a deep breath and trying to process everything.
Victor watched the intruder go before he clicked his tongue. "The police will be on him any moment." He turned his attention to Jared and he softened again. He went back to being this big, soft teddy bear.
Jared nodded a little. "I…I know." he replied softly. It just…he wasn't sure he would be able to sleep in here, not tonight. This room was supposed to be his safe place. And now it wasn't.
Victors eyes were soft as he gazed at the other. "Would you… would you like to stay at my place for the night? It might be the best option." He says quietly, not sure how he could comfort the other.
Jared took a deep breath, wrapping his arms around himself. "I…uhm…you mean your room, or…?" He didn't quite understand what Victor meant.
Victor paused before saying gently, "My house. It would only be for a day or so, let things cool down. We don't have to, I'm just spit balling ideas." He sighed quietly.
He looked up at Victor, shaky and unsure. "I-I, uhm…" he was trying not to let on how very badly this had shaken him.
Victor was very gentle and patient, his gaze soft. "It's alright now." He mutters gently. "Come." He gently takes the others hand and guides him into the kitchen. He sets to work, preparing some tea and humming quietly as he worked.
Jared was quiet, still shaking just a little bit as he tried to come to terms with what had just happened.
Victor made some tea, working as quietly and as quickly as he could. He made come chamomile tea with a dash of lemon before offering it to Jared. "Here. Drink this." He eases softly, a little smile on his lips.
Jared took the tea in slightly shaky hands. "Thank you." he said quietly, looking up at Victor.
